This is the Naga Raja of Indian mythology. I see it as being cobra-like 3-5 heads, being a deep umber brown colour, with amber scales on it's belly. The adult would probably have more heads than the hatchling.

egg:The shell of this egg appears to be covered with bronze scales

hatchling: the egg hatches to reveal a multi-headed serpent. It's scales are darkly metallic, with an oily lustre. It's many heads dart about and it hisses at anything that approaches it. You sense at once that this is not a creature to be taken lightly. You feed it cautiously, with rats and other small rodents. It accepts the food warily, and after some time it allows you to hold it.

Adult:A grown Nagaraja is extremely large and quite intimidating. It's heads seem always to be in motion, and it requires a great deal of food to keep it quiescent. Careful attention and a steady manner are essential for the mage who chooses to work with this mighty serpent, as they are wickedly fast and their fangs drip a deadly venom. It is possible to harvest this venom, if the mage can develop a working relationship with this imperious creature.

general:Naga Rajas are the royalty of serpents. They are found in the jungles of Raza, inhabiting abandoned buildings and the hollows of ancient trees. Nagarajas are never completely tame, and even the most daring mage treats them with great caution. They are highly poisonous and wary of human contact. Few mages attempt to work with these deadly and naturally hostile creatures. If you are lucky enough to win the companionship of a Nagaraja, it will grant you the power to summon and control all snakes and reptiles you encounter.
