Re: Which genre of books is the most interesting?
I love magazines (like specialist ones? art ones and the like), and non-fiction books that I can learn from. Korean/Japanese books, organization books (KonMari method).
Re: Which genre of books is the most interesting?
Hmm~
I really like sci-fi, especially books from 50-80s, and books written by Lois McMaster Bujold (any Vorkosigan fans here?), and fantasy is pretty cool too. I also like detective stories, but there seems to be a minor problem with all of this now. Sci-fi and fantasy now has a LOT of books that are in fact YA, and I can't really enjoy them, not with marginally annoying teenage main characters (Harry Potter is NOT included in this. Hunger Games, Percy Jackson and Divergent (and basically anything that hopped on City of Ember(I like that one tho) train). Sorry, I know there's probably a bunch of fans here, but I don't really like them ><), and detective books now have... I dunno, extremely DARK tones. Like the DC movies, going for the BIG DRAMA... I don't really like them. They're trying so hard to be ugly... Agatha Christie and Doyle are much more my style.

Speaking as a bibliophile, definitely FANTASY!!!
Re: Which genre of books is the most interesting?
I personally like fantasy and mystery. Sometimes crime novels, depending on what crime... if that makes sense.

Re: Which genre of books is the most interesting?
I personally find myself most interested in several different genres/combinations: for example, a combination of adventure, history, and science, such as the Sigma Force series by James Rollins. Something about the perfect blending of medicine, historical context, clues from many texts and research all with violence and action just melds into the perfect book!
I also enjoy fantasy books, but not necessarily orcs and elves. No, I like worlds that live within our own world, such as underground communities of wizards/witches and vampires (such as the Dresden Files) and people who battle demons and other monsters without being noticed (Shadowhunters).
I do also like a good crime mystery as well!

To me the best books are fantasy and sifi because they cause my mind to wonder what it would be like to live where they are and to me going to where the main character lives is pretty cool depending on the scenario horror books are also amazingly awesome
Re: Which genre of books is the most interesting?
I have a special place in my heart for historical fiction and fantasy. Nothing beats a good plot twist with crazy creatures.

Re: Which genre of books is the most interesting?
All kinds of thrillers are quite neat to read, as well as horror so those two might be my favorite genres. I often feel like I'm obsessed with reading thrilling or spooky stuff, realistic or not. It's captivating!
I also like to read scifi or fantasy sometimes but not as often.
