I'm handing in my 2 weeks tomorrow. Fuck this job.
I just gotta figure out how to write a nice letter of resignation instead of the one I want to write(which would not be so nice)
I usually go with something like:
Dear [manager/HR/whoever you're handing it in to]
Please accept this letter as notice that I am resigning from my position of/as [position], effective [date]. Thank you for the opportunities you and [company] have given me.
Sincerely,
[name]
Short and sweet.
Do I gotta put the name of the HR person or just Human Resources?

I'm trying to remember who works in HR atm ffff-
You should just be able to give it to your direct supervisor, though they might want you to talk to HR as well. Depends if they do exit interviews or not.
If you see me posting nonsense, give me a smack and tell me to go write.

It's a total culture clash (leaving aside the fact that they're characters, accept they have flaws). I've seen it in multiple places, where Americans are like, 'We'll help! Whether you want it or not! It's our duty! We don't understand why you're so angry, we're helping. We always help. Ugh, you suck.'
Not a dig at Americans as a whole, just that American mindset. Most Americans are very generous, they just don't seem to understand that maybe other countries don't want or need them to come charging in to try and save the day.
Now where the heck is the great big giant LIKE button when I need it.

I checked our little hand book and yeah they do exit interviews. It also says I should 'notify a Supervisor or Human Resources'
And honestly I'd feel more confident walking into HR and giving it to the guy than my super b/c the super is part of the reason I'm leaving. HR doesn't scare me. I don't *want* to have to deal with him.

You could probably get away with 'Dear whomever it may concern'.

Yeah, talked with my dad and he said that if it says 'or' then I can take it to HR if I want. Which I am. HR is far less intimidating tbh.
But like, this fucking supervisor. We're pulling 50 hour work weeks(and have been since like, April), which means those 8 hour Saturday shifts are OPTIONAL (at least for everyone who didn't sign the I'm willing to work more than 48 hours a week' thing when they started, like me), where does this asshole, get the gall to act like he was doing me the favour of 'letting' me take some off for my driving lessons?(and yeah he actually said that) And then getting upset today when I said that no, I would not be in this Saturday.
Labour laws, they are a thing. And guess what, I know them(most anyways, the ones I need).
You aren't doing me the favour, I've been doing it for you, and this is the first time I've taken one off that wasn't for driving.
I'm just, I'm done. Trying to coerce me into taking a shift I don't want, no fuck you.
And then straight up changing the schedule to 8 hours ones so he CAN make the Saturdays mandatory so that I have to come?
See how you like it when I quit (I had been debating on it all day after he came to try and get me to come in on Saturday and when I heard that, well that was it)
I don't even get why he's so insistent that /I/ come in on Saturday, as if it's suddenly the most important day.
Also jokes on him, cause I have another lesson next week so I can't come in even for the mandatory shift(unless he wants me to work like, 3 hours).
Oh for ffs.
ow the printer is being dumb. It won't, print. Like, it goes through the sounds and motions of printing, but there's nothing on the paper.

You need a new RP partner? I've been thinking about getting into one of those 1 on 1 RP sessions.
I decided to make cookies and realized I had no shortening. The internet said I could just substitute butter. Yeah, now I have one giant sheet sized cookie.
