Okay, here's the scenario:
I have my own account on MS. And say I wanted to show my sister the fun of playing MS, and as thus, she gets her own account and starts playing, hatching creatures, doing quests, etc. The thing is, she lives with me and as such, is on the same IP address as me. That wouldn't raise any red flags about using multiple accounts, would it? Since we're two different people, playing two different accounts, and most likely playing MS two different ways, assuming she doesn't end up being a creature hoarder like me.
Also, another thing that concerns me, is what if she does start playing, and we trade creatures to each other or sell creatures to each other? Or what if, for example, I decide to buy an expensive creature and give it to her as a gift, maybe for her birthday or whatever, with no gold or creatures being sent back to me from her?
I just want to make sure that it would all be okay, before even mentioning MS to her.
One last question, say someone loses their account, like... their account gets banned for breaking the rules or getting hacked or whatever the case may be. Are they allowed to make a new account and start over fresh? I would assume so, since if you REALLY weren't allowed back on the site, you'd be IP blocked, right? Or no? This has always been a little vague to me.
Multiple Accounts? Does this count as such?

Re: Multiple Accounts? Does this count as such?
There is no problem two player playing with one IP adress. It becomes an issue if one account obviously only credits the other. Ie she is doing the quests, trading all to you, don't actively play. Selling or trading creatures between you two shouldn't be an issue. And there and then a gift also not (I'm pretty sure but if there is a mod looking into here please confirm)
I don't know on your last question, I think this can nly a mod answer.

Thank you for your input. I know some other sites are okay with multiple people playing and others are more wary. I just wanted to make sure it was in the clear.Feuerfresser wrote:There is no problem two player playing with one IP adress. It becomes an issue if one account obviously only credits the other. You wouldn't be counted at multiple accounts just for gifting each other. Gifts are expected, even between family members. However, both accounts have to maintain their individuality. It can't be one account sending a whole bunch of stuff to another continuously. I believe you it's been stated somewhere that you should report your own account and your family's accounts to Morgaln so that the staff is aware of the situation already and that is usually enough to keep you safe.

Re: Multiple Accounts? Does this count as such?
My girlfriend and I have accountsand live in the same household. We never had problems, but perhaps it's because the patterns of behavior are so different. For example:
She collects elephant snails and I collect rays.
She doesn't do much on forums and I post a lot.
I have two expensive collections of donis and she doesn't have them.
Our styles of communication are different. She's gotten mod warnings for her rudeness; I prefer friendly logic or withdrawal.
The accounts are different - different profile preferences, different colors, different friends, different creatures.
We both trade with other players but we do not trade in the same creatures or with the same players.
We're online at different times and on different days.
I did gift her with a solar fox I bred and she gave me a calico tienko for Christmas but as a rule, we only gender trade stream creatures.
So, you see, it depends on a lot more than IP address.
