This egg looks very much like a chocolate covered cherry.
Cherry mokaia make their home in the Ixan jungle, where they are found living in and around cocoa groves. These groves are fiercely guarded, especially from the chocolate earwigs which would otherwise destroy the delicious cocoa beans. Cherry mokaia have an insatiable craving for sweets, particularly chocolates and will quickly catch and eat any earwigs that aren't fast enough to run away. The earwigs are not their favorite treats though as they seem especially fond of melted forms of chocolate, sipping cocoa from any unattended mug and piercing bonbons with their sharp little fangs to slurp up the liquid centers. This love of melted chocolate has lead to their being given the nickname 'lovebites' in reference to the sticky kiss marks they tend to leave on their owner's faces.
