i prefer the hobbits. they're funny! I hacked my way through two of the books before giving up, but i did enjoy what i read. The third movie was my favorite, mainly because magic

Legolas is my homeboy. I loves elves, mostly because I wish I could be as graceful but simultaneously badass as they are.

Tolkien is sorta my inspiration for creating a language.

Which is your favorite book out of the trilogy? - Fellowship of the Ring by far. Its not as grim as the others and stands on its own better.

Who is your favorite character? Legolas, though he doesn't say much either in the films or the book.

Do you like the movie better than the book? Jury's out on that one. I love the films and watch the extended versions over and over, but I also read the book over and over. I think the book is very much of its time, and doesn't sit too well with the atitudes of the world now.

Have you read any other books by Tolkien? yep, most of them, though I did give up with the ones edited by his son...

If you were to choose, which character would you be? I'd be an elf, though not any specific one. I have a bit of a head start on elfdom as I'm an archer and a horserider already!

Can't wait to see what they do with the film of the Hobbit!
