Long ago in the early 300 B.C, the greek gods and goddesses roamed the Earth, only living in the western hemisphere of the earth. There the only mythical creatures they ever associated with were the pheonix, the manticorn, the koi fish, the gryphon, and the Direwolf. All these mythicals were reffered to as the 'higher breeds'. All other breeds were reffered to as 'lesser breeds'.
Now, as you can imagine, the 'lesser breeds' were infuriated with this discrimination of breeds. Also, you can probably imagine that the 'higher breeds' were quite snooty and snotty. eventually, the 'lesser breeds' were so irritated that they retaliated against the gods and 'higher breeds'. Now of course humans were alive and this war affected them greatly, which was one of the influences of the Great Spartan War.
This war was lasting years until finally, Zeus, the god of gods and lightning, accidently shot a lightning bolt at the home of the gods which killed all the gods along with himself. With the gods and their influence gone, the breeds were able to go back to the way they were before the gods.
