General
The shadow-light substance that makes up their wings, tail and mane never stops growing but can be collected for lamps if the Adult is willing. Many Magi are still studying the effects this substance has, noting that it will only last about a week after taken from an adult. To attempt to take this substance from an adult that is not willing or a Hatchling results in burns that cover the whole body of the person, marking them for at least an year. These Drakes also prefer to only eat meat, and will hunt only a few times a year. However these hunts will often have a few kills in it before the Drake is full until the next hunt.
EggThis egg has a colorful tail that never stays still.
HatchlingMany magi are surprised when this egg first hatches, no expecting the skull that adorns the brightly colored hatching. These babies are already ready to move around only a few hours after hatching, and tend to enjoy running around in the sunlight. Their wings are much too small for them to fly, and seem feather-like from far away. Close up Magi can see that their wings are more like brightly colored moving shadows. Many magi find this a very interesting place of study.
AdultAdults of Tenather Drakes can have range from being peaceful to being loners. They often reflect the magi that raised them, or the creatures they were around as a child. No matter what nature they end up, these Drakes like to hang around anywhere in light filled areas, and many can be seen on roofs of houses sunning themselves in the middle of the day. The only problem with them being on top of the houses is how much they weigh, and often are the reason behind weak roofs being broken. The longer most Magi study Tenather Drakes, the more they have problems seeing in the dark, some have taken to wearing some kind of shade of their eyes.
