well i know one thing for sure i wont be helping any one out, This sort of thing takes more then a month to be gained since they are very rare. I don't think they would be nice and release the same creature again next year either though because they never have much of any thing bing the same thing agian even though the rat creature was the same for halloween its sure to be some thing else next christmas though.

I'll probably never be able to get mates for my penguins, since the prices are redonkulous! (still haven't gotten a male for my lonely, still-able-to-breed Coal wyrm :yarly: ) But if I did by some miracle, then sure, why not?

I agree about the prices being ridiculous- someone was wanting 800k for their female Penguin. Coal Wyrm GBs didn't even go for that when they came out!

I have a White Penguin pair, and traded my Green for some Donis, but I really don't want to waste my Pengu breeds, unless I am able to keep one. If you do start it, I think there should be a rule about needing to gift at least one of the offsprings of the Pengu you get from the Guild.

But now that I read something from pegasi1978, I'm thinking we shouldn't do it. We'll work too hard, with no success in the end. :t-:(

Might, one of the problems in the Coal Wyrm guild was that people who requested wouldn't in turn breed theirs so we would have a constant stock. Sometimes I regret breeding my GB coal and gifting the offspring considering how expensive they are now and difficult to get low gen. If a gifting guild does pop up, it might be a better idea to build up a stock first instead of gifting immediately, too.

Then again - these people really like penguins. So, it just all depends on how many people would actually be dedicated to it, instead of just having their name gather dust on a member list.
:t-shrug:
Actually I suspect the reason the Coal and Tinsel guilds broke apart is the limited breeding. With the Coals it was a little easier to breed two to give and one to keep for further breeding. The Tinsels don't have the extra breeding so it's harder to replace breeding stock.

I can easily see the same thing happening with penguins - the breeding guild would last for a while, but it would eventually slow and stop as the penguins get bred out.
As one of the members of all three of the guilds last year I can tell you that Pegasi is correct. The Tinsel guild proved virtually impossible to maintain because there were only two breedings. Because it took 2 tinsels to breed-we were never really able to do much beyond replacing breeding stock-it was almost impossible to do much more. And with the coals at most you could gift one for every three you bred (since it took 2 to replace the breeding stock). That had nothing to do with "dedication" (A comment I rather take offense at quite frankly....)
