You could ask for a type of cake that isn't quite so sweet, see if that helps.

Like a spice cake or a carrot cake or a pumpkin cake? Or poppyseed. Poppyseed cakes often don't have quite the same level of sweetness to them.

I'm personally rather fond of treacle cake, which at least is a more complex sugar.

There's a guy who works for my hubby, he is from a place where they harvest bees honey from beehives in trees in the jungle. We get ours from there

Does anyone know if pastels and charcoals work well on canvas?? I want to experiment, but don't want to waste the canvas.
