Wimpy American. I'm so blase about snow these days, I don't care unless it's enough to give me a snow day. Otherwise it can fuck off.

Just more than a little peeved at the weatherman right now! How the hell can you say that we are gonna get 1-3 inches of snow today only to have what was on the ground melt before 10am and then be sunny for the rest of the day???? I know predicting the weather is hit or miss but really???? Sunny is no where even close to 1-3 inches of snow!! Not that I really want it to snow but I just can't understand how they can be that far off. I wanna get a job as a weather reporter so that I can be wrong at my job more than half the time and not have to worry about getting fired!!!

I'm really having a hard time believing that we are gonna get the 4-8 tonight that they were calling for. Like aliens, I'll believe it when I see it!

The weatherman simply looks at computer models and tells you what they say, dear. He is not being wrong at his job half the time. He's giving you the exact information he knows. And if you want to make such a big deal about inaccurate weather reports, why don't you go try programming a weather prediction model. -.-

Seriously. There's a reason chaos theory is called chaos theory. And that weather is a prime example of it.

Our (American)school district doesn't care about snow. It doesn't matter how much we get; it'll be a two-hour late start at most.

Now cold days are a different matter. Occasionally we'll have those if the base temp is far enough below zero and it's unusually extra-windy. But we don't get cold days all that often either. They really don't like stopping school.
