The World - Magnis

The largest of Voltar's volcanoes. There is a constant lava lake in its summit. At night the glow from the lava is said to be quite beautiful against the sheer darkness of the land and sky. The intense light from Magnis and the surrounding volcanic complex can be seen from miles away on a dark night.

The slopes of Magnis are steep. It is coated with its own solidified lava, creating a dangerous and sharp climb for those who dare to brave it. Magnis is a very active volcano, frequently spouting minor eruptions. Magnis has not had a major eruption for centuries; more danger is posed by the earthquakes of varying intensity here that can cause rocks to tumble haphazardly down the slopes.
