July Mid-Month Doni is here! :)

This egg has beautiful scales.

Hatchling:
Spoiler
Young legrisha have not yet mastered control over their camoflauge scales, and often will resemble piles of copper or silver as they sleep curled in a shiny ball. They tend to shimmer in the sun as they walk and hunt for insects to eat, which seems dangerous. However, something about the way the light is reflected off their scales seems to put off predators who may otherwise eat them, the searing colors somewhat nauseating.

Adult:
Spoiler
Voracious insectivores, legrisha will often make dens or nests near ant colonies or termite mounds. At the keep, they are very valuable for keeping the castle insect-free. With their powerful claws, they can dig into stone if necessary to locate insect nests, and their powerful tails can be used to knock over rocks. While their scales are more for communication and camoflauge, they also offer legrisha protection from the bites or stings of the insects they eat. Some magi even use them to raid bee hives-their legrisha gets the bees, and the magi gets the honey.
General:
Spoiler
Legrisha are masters of camoflauge, and are very hard to find in the wild. Rarely, they are spotted when someone thinks they???ve uncovered a rage gem, only to find the shimmering armored scales of a Legrisha. These creatures use their scales to communicate, changing the colors across their scales in very quick patterns as they send messages to each other. They can also use their scales to blend in to their surroundings, and even the keenest hunter will be unable to locate them. This power can extend to their magi, and if a magi needs to hide, all they have to do is stay still and let their Legrisha make them all but invisible.

Oh how cute! I love Pangolins! Isn't there a similar donation pet that was green? I need to find out what it was and get my hands on a pair of them. Love Pangolins!

Edit: I got a female, no dimorphism. It also landed on 0.00% when it hatched but I couldn't hide it fast enough before twitter gave it another click. Darn. D:
