Lol. I'm hoping to go to West/Antir this summer and they've extended that to 6 days, so I'll probably get a lot as well when I'm not marshaling.

There are no local events here, as there isn't a local SCA group. They're all up north.

I managed to get off road yesterday while driving in shitty weather from Watertown to Sioux Falls. I was about twenty miles south of Brookings when I hit an icy spot and I was trying to get control again, but I didn't want to fishtail and hit someone in the other lane, so I ended up going off the road into the grassy/snowy median between the south-bound interstate and the north-bound interstate.

After I was stopped, I thought, "Okay, I'm stopped. I'm not hurt, I didn't get hit and I didn't hit anyone, let's see if I can get back on the road." So I back up, turn around, and drove my way back onto the road easily. After I was driving again, I started to shake and thought "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. I am NOT telling my dad about this."

Thank god I drove my dad's Cadillac Escalade, which is a full size, all-wheel drive SUV. That thing has been driven off road before, and I thought if I could get into the ditch with the Cadillac, I can get back out with it. Sure enough, I was able to.
