my art kinda sucks but I'm proud of my improvement through the years.

But I still feel inadequate whenever there's someone who is younger than me who's a ton better than me and I just kinda wanna stop sometimes

I dunno, that's how I usually deal with that feeling Scratch out some crappy art for a bit. Or, if I can't actively draw, daydream and try to picture a bunch of different new creatures, then pick my favorite and start going into deep detail on it and come up with a habitat and behaviors for it. Drawing sometimes makes the empty feeling worse, especially if nothing is coming out right, but the daydreaming almost always helps!

Still no call from the post office about my chicks. Sometimes the mail is late because of the snow, but the lady that works at the post office usually posts that it'll be late on Facebook, or if there won't be any mail at all. No post. Tracking tells me they should be here today. Been up since 8, because last week they called around 8:30. It's almost 10:30.

Where are my chicks? Are they still alive?

My Kuretake paints arrived today - I wouldn't say that they would be a replacement for my St. Petersburg White Nights watercolor, they're definitely a nice addition - lots of shades that I didn't have/had to mix up to get something similar, even if the St. Peterburg paints are, on the whole, more pigmented/higher quality, imo.
