Has anyone ever seen that mock-umentary about dragons they did? I think it was on the Discovery channel. It was a two part series that aired, oh, it must have been 13 years ago. I was in middle school when I saw it, and OBSESSED with dragons. I still am! The first part in the series basically presents itself as if they'd found an honest-to-god dragon skeleton. I was so excited. I went to school the next day telling everyone "dragons are real!" And my parents felt so bad that they didn't want to tell me. I only found out when I watched part two of the series, which basically opened with "Of course, that's not actually what happened..." I was crushed, haha.

Making a slide alteration to the ones I previously listed, because I found out about a creature called a Tatzelwurm which is one of my new favourites.

I couldnt choose, but there's some really cool ones in African myths like:
The Grootslang is a legendary cryptid said to dwell in a deep cave in the Richtersveld (a desert), South Africa.

I love Phoenixes, Pegasui and Unicorns. If I had to choose one? Probably Phoenixes. They're just so cool and I love their lore.

I love dragons. When I was younger, I loved unicorns, but I hated how they were always the good guys and the dragons were the bad guys. Now that I'm older, I've been able to find books where dragons are the good guys and I love them. There are so many things you can do with dragons and I love writing my own.

Quite a fan of wendigos. Even though they're terrifying beings by lore (and many would even consider them evil) they're still quite interesting to read about.

I actually Love the Wendigo But dragons and the Basilisk are also right up there, I just love all of them tbh.

Definitely dragons. I just love them so much.

Probably, if I have to pick one of the animal in the list, I'd choose basilisks. But I personally prefer strange creatures from unknown pores of countries like Scandinavia. They have a bunch of weird stories. One example is the gjenganger (my username); it's basically a mix between a ghost and a vampire, like a revenant. It's name means literally "to walk after death", they are like poltergeist (with a malicious and violent nature) but they have full functioning bodies.
I also like with wendigos (so cuuute). And I've read some stories from the Japanese lore that I like, for exemple kitsunes and the Kuchisake-onna (basically a woman with a strange and enormous mouth who goes around killing people).
As I said, I'm quite obsessed with folklore of every kind.
