Okay so this ties back into topics such as
~Ways to get more gold
~Potions for gender change and breeding cool down
~More shops
~etc
Basically this suggestion would be an upgrade to the World Map.
I think that three things could be impliemented that would greatly improove the game.
#1: A Ritual Room and Alchemy Lab within the Keep with perminant quests (And possibly some special seasonal ones too**) to craft potions and items.
This is for emmersion purposes too, we're supposed to be Magi, having options like a spellcrafting ritual to make items or an Alchemy Lab for brewing potions makes sense, and adds enjoyability in playing.
The potions or rituals would need items to craft, and that's where the other ideas come in: Collecting the iteams could be achieved by exploring the world map.
#2: Shops on the map. Synara City, Triathe, Theia, Ageti all those cities with no purpose on the map could now have Apothecaries, Candelries, and Jewelers (for focusing crystals and gold powder etc)
Maybe at certain special times of the irl year such as summer soltice temp markets for ultra rare items could appear. It would give you a reason to check back to the shops, and save your gold for these rare processed items for your potion and spellcrafting.
#3: Map Exploration: A certain number of times per day in certain locations on the map, such as the Silva Forest, a magi could click a button to "Explore" This would be akin to throwing money in the koi pond a simple point and click with little text blerbs and the chance to find raw ingredients like roots, berries, fur etc.
Some could be used as is in simple potions or spells, others would need to be given time to be processed or dried.
All these items bought or found would be in the players inventory. When a magi amassed the correct number of ingriedients they would go back to the keep to the Alchemy Lab or Ritual Room to craft thier potions or items.
POTION/RITUALS IDEAS
Gender Change and breeding cooldown of course would be common potions.
Mermaid's Call: This Spell of Allure guarentees a sucessful collection of a (random) Egg from the Koi Pond upon tossing in coins.
Youth Draught: This Potion will allow you to turn back the clock, and return one adult creature back to its baby state.
Spell of (Partial)Resurrection: Used on Dead Creatures such as Decessus or Mortifelis to bring them back to life. ((To be clear I mean the dead versions of the animal to the Undead versions. Not that I wouldn't love living versions of them sometime maybe as BLACK MARKET specials~))
Rune of Luck: Increase the chance to find rare iteams during exploration for a short amount of time.
SPECIAL SEASONAL POTIONS/ITEMS
At certain times of the year, when special ingriedients are available or the stars and planents align just right, certain rare Items and Potions can be crafted.
Such as:
**Yuel Blessing Potion- On this one night of the year a very special potion can be crafted to unfreeze one frozen egg or creature in your Keep. could be made multiple times that one night pervided you have the ingriedients. One potion to one frozen Hatchling or Egg.
Spring Renewel Ritual: This Ritual, held in Spring gatheres the fertile powers around you, allowing you to reset the Breeding Chance of one Limited Breeding Creature (Ie: Coal Worms etc) Ritual can only be proformed ONCE a year on the first day of Spring. Limited to once per creature to avoid yearly spam.
Fertility Potion: One unbreedable creature (ie: Dragon Koi, Elephant Snail) gains a single breeding chance with this potion (One dose works on the creature and its mate for one breeding, Guaranteed success.) ((Does not work on Donis))
MAKING GOLD:
So as I said you'd be collecting items, either through buying from shops or market stalls or through exploration ((Or maybe have it so clicking hatchlings or adult animals will drop fur, scales, claws, teeth etc.)) Point is you're gaining a stock pile in your inventory. Some items are so common you're tripping over them. Some so rear you're lucky to find them at all.
A good way to get more gold, would be to go to the actual Shops tab and use the Trading Post... As an actual trading post. So ontop of being able to buy rare eggs, people could also sell items for gold.
Now of course its limited how much they will buy. This isn't 7 Days To Die, these guys don't have unlimited funds to just sit there and buy 1000 Gryphon Feathers from you. So that would have to be regulated maybe with bars to show how much of any given item they have, which in turn would effect how much they are willing to pay out at that time for it.
Another way to bump up your sales and rake in gold would to be to actual craft Potions or Items out of the raw materials and then go and sell those to the shops on the world map.
