Halfmoon Heartache (Shadow x avril)

Link took Ronnie's hand and let her lead the way to the foyer. The aroma of breakfast surrounded him, making his mouth water. "I smell pancakes!" He said excitedly. He followed Ronnie to the kitchen, watching as the chefs were flipping pancakes and cracking open eggs. "What are you getting?" Link asked, eyeing up the pancakes as we grabbed a plate.

"Mm I do too along with eggs and sausage links," Ronnie said in reply after they were in the foyer and they could smell breakfast cooking. "Hm I think I'm going to get chocolate chip pancakes with scrambled eggs and maple brown sugar flavored sausage links," she said in reply to his question before also picking up a plate and then watching the chefs as well as they cracked open the eggs and flipped the pancakes which caused her stomach to growl a bit as a result.

Link walked up to the line in front of the chefs and patiently waited his turn. When asked what he wanted by the head chef he replied, "Scrambled eggs with cheese, 2 pieces of bacon, and 2 plain pancakes!" He flashed a charming smile and gave a small thank you nod. He moved along the line as they filled his plate, reaching the end where a juice station was set up. He grabbed a plastic cup and filled it with fresh orange juice. Link then grabbed a fork, a spoon, a side of butter, and a side of syrup.

Ronnie was next in line after Link to get breakfast and when she was also asked what she'd like she said with a smile, "Scrambled eggs with cheese and butter, two maple brown sugar sausage links, grits, a biscuit and two double chocolate chip pancakes please." She then nodded in thanks to each chef that put the requested items on the main plate with two other small ones in addition; one for the links and the other for the pancakes. Then when she was done with getting her food, she set the three plates down on the table at a spot she thought was a good one to sit at, went back to the end of the buffet to get both silverware, and a drink before heading back over to both the table and her food afterward to start eating.

Link followed Ronnie and set his food and juice next to hers at the table. As she grabbed a drink and silverware, he settled down in the seat beside the one she chose. He laid his silverware on top of a napkin, next to this plate. He took a sip of his juice before starting to butter his pancakes. He drizzled super on top of them and was starting to cut them into smaller pieces when Ronnie sat down next to him and began to eat. "This is delicious!" Link said, after swallowing a bite of pancake. He heard a small commotion in the doorway and saw the two troublemakers, Onyx and Sam. He rolled his eyes and said, "Watch out for those two."

Ronnie smiled at Link when he sat down beside her at the table and after she had swallowed a bite of her food. "Yes it is," she said in reply to what he said about the food before turning slightly to see the doorway when she heard the commotion coming from there. "Hmm okay. Those are the troublemakers, yes? If so, they're the ones that might be my brothers that I thought were dead. Maybe after I get reintroduced to them I can make sure they behave," she said and asked in reply to what he said last before continuing to eat her breakfast.

"Hopefully you can settle them down, they have caused issues since day 1. They definitely need an older, more mature sibling." Link replied, taking another bite of his pancakes. "When do you plan to introduce yourself?" He asked curiously. He picked up his orange juice and took a big gulp, set it down, and then focused back on finishing his pancakes.

"Day 1 was only yesterday and I can try, although I'm not an older sibling. I'm younger than they are but maybe them just knowing and seeing that I'm alive, might give them a chance to put that energy to another use rather than fighting and arguing with each other. Today at lunch," Ronnie said in reply to everything he said and the question he asked before having her own attention go back to being on her own food and finishing both her scrambled eggs and grits while drinking her orange juice.

"Sorry, these pancakes are so good, I think it's making me forget everything in the moment." Link added with a lighthearted laugh. "But nonetheless, you are mature for your age!" He added, smiling at Ronnie. Link finished his breakfast, using his napkin to wipe his face and hands. He thought for a moment before asking, "Would it help if I booked a small common room for lunch and require both of them to meet us after we grab our plates?"

Before Ronnie answered, Link added, "That way it is a little more private and no one will bother."

"It's okay and I understand. I haven't started eating mine yet but I bet it'll be the same for them being good," Ronnie said in reply with a giggle after swallowing her last bite of grits and then moving on to the sausage links afterward. "Oh um thank you," she said in reply to his compliment after swallowing a bite of sausage link before continuing to eat some other pieces while hearing the other question he asked. She was about to reply after she had swallowed two other pieces she had been chewing, but didn't as she heard his other statement he added a few minutes or so later. "That sounds like a good idea," she said with the smile back on her face but also still with a small blush on her cheeks from the compliment from earlier before finishing eating the rest of her links and then drinking a bit more of her orange juice afterward.
