Thanks! It took forever to try and figure it out though I'm still wondering how to get the creatures I need to complete certain quests

I seriously can't figure out how to use the map I click on the stars and it only gives me information I can't seem to find quests to do so I've been avoiding the map all together can some one please explain how to use it?

I do have a bucket but not a coffee maker
