Re: take a word
Forever Funny how we act like Time is tangible, Tomorrow a place as much as it is The spiraling squiggly things That leap like impalas and dazzle my eyes To me, it is The silence as we sit Between the leaves of an Olive copse, repeating words we Haven’t spoken, sleeping the sleep Of dinosaurs stifle...

Re: A Poetry Chain
He folds unto himself
like corners of
yellowed paper
Skies drip from his eyes
the screech of a thousand fighter planes
expanding in his mind.
Strangulation has a sound.
Next prompt: The morning after the war.

It hides between spaces where no one dare goes:
inside the pantry, swathed in dark clothes.
A big gray cap with purple lining,
The eyes that flash while it is writing.
Atop the red a gold cross gleams
Yup, there goes Dr.Beans.

Re: write a poem about the above person's avatar
UUHHH this isn't quite an ode but I just included the term in the last stanza because I was running out of ideas, and the last line is kinda awkward, but yeeeeeaaaa... XD I came to this forum and met the gaze of a wise little radish on a bright summer day Her goggles are trained on some land far awa...

She waits beside the azure scroll
The parchment bleeds with blue and gold
Her fur gleams black as pitch and coal
And writes with ink her tales foretold
of poems on paper, the HEART of her SOUL.

Mouse facing certain doom
It scurries in the evening gloom
in the shadows lies a coil
muscles tighten, its blood broils
the mice upon the wooden tile
up and scurries its final mile
Fur upon the tile it flashes
The python in the wood she snatches
and seeks the snuggled quarters
until the end of life.

Re: A Poetry Chain
Sunlight bathes the dewy well Where Apollo bends to hear my spell Hear my calls at every hour weaving flames on every charred bower Find me where Arab sands rage white against the desert's dancing light My powers surpass mirage with fire my only entourage In every war flag I flew For every fight bri...

Re: A Poetry Chain
She wings over half-lit trees dull against evenings bright glides over rags of rich and poor alike nuances bob against brisk night flutter of drab cloaks tremors before a fight she alights where time stops where dying dusk reaches for light where the stage quivers quiet in the music of the night. Wr...
