Quilt was a very special gryphon and the others wouldn't like to be with him because of his weird behaving. Whenever he saw some loose threads he had the need to put them together. He travelled throuh the whole world in search of a mate and a home but couldn't find any. Some day he met a magi with her unicorn. The magi Morgaine who had the ability to talk with all kinds of animals asked why he was lonely. Thus Quilt told his story. The magi offered him to come with her. Quilt was very happy to do so. One day Morgaine brought with her a little gryphon from one of her journeys. She gave the critter the name Patchwork and Quilt helped her raise the little one. When she was grown up it came that the two gryphons fell in love with each other. So they started their family called "of Loose Threads" and lived happily ever after.
