An adult heartfire gryphon gleams in the sunlight and spends a lot of its time grooming itself and other gryphons so they all look their best. Heartfire gryphons are free with their love; some mate for life and others maintain multiple relationships. This extends to magi as well, with gryphons who stay with one person or family, gryphons who wander wherever their mood takes them, and gryphons who split their time between a few households. Loving parents, heartfire gryphons raise their hatchlings until the hatchlings are old enough to venture out on their own, and even then the hatchlings frequently return for visits.
