This tiny golden egg has delicate wings growing out of it.


Fairy tamarin hatchlings are small and delicate, and require attentive care when they first hatch. Their wings are still too tiny and gossamer-thin for flight, and it takes a few days for the hatchlings’ eyes to open, during which time their parents or magi companion must feed them milk and nectar frequently, and protect them from hungry creatures that might eat them, or careless creatures that might squish them. After a few days, however, hatchlings are able to move about on their own, and enjoy climbing from flower to flower, tasting a variety of nectars in search of a favorite. Fairy tamarin hatchlings are very nimble, and when tired, they will simply climb onto their magi companion and nap wherever they find a comfortable fold of clothing.


As fairy tamarins age, their wings grow larger and stiffer, until the lovely iridescent flaps are capable of supporting their weight in flight. Fairy tamarins use this ability to visit even more flowers, and to pluck the sweetest fruits from the most precarious of branches. Adults fairy tamarins also grow into their power, which is the ability to make flowers and fruits grow quickly and healthily. Fruits and flowers harvested from plants where fairy tamarins live are always particularly fragrant and sweet, and will also stay perfectly ripe without spoiling for a particularly long time.

The orchards and greenhouses of Synara are never without at least one, and usually a whole flock, of fairy tamarins. These little flying monkeys the size of a mouse are playful and sweet, and flutter from flower to flower on lovely gossamer wings when not begging visitors for sweet treats. They are not merely decorative, though, as fairy tamarins help pollinate the flowers they visit as they sip nectar from each, and the fruits and flowers grown in their vicinity are always as sweet as their dispositions.

Oooo, I really like how the hatchling looks! Might have to pick up one or two. Can't wait to see what the adult looks like

Like I am very sorry about my habit of zooming in to look at the sprite detail now. cause they are way less horrifying far away.
