I'm a novice birder, mostly for local feathered friends, so I've never heard of a Lilac Roller before, that is until now. Had to google and I am smitten!!! What a gorgeous bird. Love it. And apparently it is quite aggressive when defending its nest, too. Since it's from Africa (Kenya's national bird, to be exact), I guess it has to be. Lovely influence for the Coracide. <3 <3 <3

I've hinted both bird influences in the names as much as I could :yarly:
Pavo is Latin for the peacock. Coracide (coraciidae) is the family of rollers.

Since I do not speak nor understand Latin...it 'flew' right over my head. :D LOL It appears to have come in handy in naming Magistream creatures, though. Very classy! <3

Well, if my latest Pavo egg doesn't hatch male, that's it. I guess I'll just have to gaze longingly at the sample.

You can always get some male donecs for a gender changing potion.

I'm debating so hard on if i want to get one of these or not. The first Peryton was my very first donation pet, so this would bring some sentiment to it

ARG! With the sexual dimorphism, I'm going to have to get a pair of each which means I'm going to have to scrape up some more money to donate. Looks like PB & J sandwiches for lunch for awhile.

It took a minute to realize what you meant. Totally forgot about the male donec trade for gender changing potion quest. As I said, I'm not that proficient with playing Magistream. I've reprioritized my hobbies when I became a grandmother last year.

Anyway...I found that I had one potion available in my Inventory and used it, then discovered that I had saved quite a few male Donec hatchlings in a special category for Quest requirements. I made 2 potions and used one for the Coracide, where I had two males. And, of course, my recent purchase of my third Pavo (before you reminded me of the Gender-change potion) turned out male, so I could have waited, I guess.

Thank-you so much for helping, though! I really appreciate it. <3

I really want some, I love Perytons and I have the money right now. But with the fact that the site has literally been erroring every other page for me I'm just not sure its worth it. I'd hate to sink more money into the site than I already have, only to wake up tomorrow and find out its gone the way of Unipets or Hyperboards...
