I know the stream derped at least once for me yesterday. After a refresh, all normal eggs per usual. I plucked one out to freeze, came back to the stream, and still all regular eggs. It wasn't a platy flood. I figured it would fix itself on the next reset, and when I came back later there were Solstice eggs.
I think the stream derps on occasion like this every event, but from my experience it's for only one 15 min refresh and then it's back to the way it should be.
