I'm definitely starting to get the impression that the Argents are a bit more rare than the aurums

My current talley:

40 Emeralds

56 Azures

27 Olivas

19 Gelbs

5 Argents

8 Aurums

All of the Aurums I've gotten through OlivaxOliva or GelbxGelb. Only two of my Argents are from those pairings, the remaining are from ArgentxArgent.

Now that I have 5 breeding pairs each of the oliva and gelb, future eggs of those will be frozen, too.
Just need 1 more Aurum and 1 more Argent.

finally bred my first aurum lol. i'll get there eventually maybe, having more base pairs of the parent for the hybrid def seems to be the best strategy (getting there with the emeralds/azures, not there with the others yet)

Emerald - 17 breeding pairs, 10 bellow 1% hatchlings, 72 failed frozen eggs
Azure - 26 breeding pairs, 12 bellow 1% hatchlings, 70 failed frozen eggs
Oliva - 10 breeding pairs, 3 bellow 1% hatchlings, 15 failed frozen eggs
Gelb - 7 breeding pairs, 7 bellow 1% hatchlings, 10 failed frozen eggs
Argent - 2 adults 1 bellow 1% hatchling
Aurum - 4 adults

I've used a looooot of potions, and I've also grown a handful of bellow 1% hatchlings just so I could get additional breeding pairs, but bruh. That's almost 170 visibly failed eggs, I can't tell you how many 'not interested' messages I've seen. But it's a lot. And last I checked, the Argents and Aurums are like, siblings or cousins so I can't make pairs out of them R.I.P. Also yeah, no inbreeding

Mine are being rather finnicky, as well. These seem to be rather resistant to breeding all around. I love the sprites on these, though!

I was about to exclaim over the huge drop off in numbers between generations, but then I realized that since there's a gelb/oliva split and then an aurum/argent split, it makes more sense to add those numbers together. In which case percentage of gelb + oliva to azure is actually quite reasonable, at just around 40%.

but holy canoli, aurum + argent make up only 12% of the gelb + oliva total, that's hecking brutal

For comparison's sake - though this is not a terribly good comparison because they've been around for much longer and have been sold by the black market before - there are about half as many golden farir as there are yellow farir, and just under half as many orange farirs as there are golden.

But hey, it could be much worse! They could be like the cervinus deer. I'll let the numbers speak for themselves:
