The Spring Equinox 1216 - 1219 Pygmy Wolpertingers

For as long as humans could remember and through traditions that abound, the celebration of Spring was had. Upon further investigations, Astrologically, Spring comes around the 19th - 21st of March. Mereologically, it starts on the 1st of March. Either way, Spring comes!

Things that denote that Easter has begun are eggs, chicks and rabbits. The egg (ova) represents fertility and the rabbits represent... well... they came at a later date and time. The Pagan symbol for the Vernal Equinox is the Egg.

We also have April Fool's day or All Fool's day. To let you read about All Fools Day, go here. :) https://www.novareinna.com/festive/allfool.html

Now then... for our own celebration, we have had so many different pets released. Duckits (rabbit and duck hybrid *is there really such a thing?*), Peeps (I am relieved that they didn't release the rest of the flavours that have come out now) and veggie sheep. That... I am not going to expound upon. LOL We have had others such as the Dimots (chickens) and other birds, different rabbits and ducks and wolves in sheep's clothing. Some of those just happen to land on All Fools Day (joy!).

On Magistream, our beloved Spring has come between the 17th of March all the way to mid April, thus giving us a large variant of pets. For our event again, talk about what one(s) you liked best and speculate on what will be coming this time around. Who knows... we may get an Easter dragon this time or something totally new!

As always, the new pets will be talked about here. Have a wonderful and safe Ostara, my friends!

Just bounced out of the clover patch, they are here!!! Remy's shop has the Spring drink. It doesn't give anything, but makes you drunk and you get to see Remy all happy (aside from his grumpy self. :P)

There is dimorphism in the adults for each one. None for the hatchies, sadly enough.

general description is the same for all
Spoiler
Every end of winter is marked by the arrival of pygmy wolpertingers, their presence and sweet scents considered a much needed change after the cold seasons. Despite being creatures that thrive in the wild moving at incredibly high speeds, pygmy wolpertingers have the tendency to stick around warm homes when the spring season starts as everyone prepares for the vernal celebrations. Magis are no strangers to these creatures as they will flit around the Keep and find their way into the kitchens and pantries in hopes of discovering the sweetest delicacies. No bigger than a ball of yarn, they will squeeze their way through the tiniest cracks only to reach a leftover dessert, or in case of negligence, an entire room full of sweets, decimating it in a manner of minutes. Hiding the sweets in the highest or narrowest of shelves will not help in the slightest, their hummingbird-like wings allowing them to expertly reach the most impossible places.
hatchling description appears to be the same for all
Spoiler
Young pygmy wolpertingers have an insatiable appetite when it comes to sweets. They will consume large quantities of sugar only to fall asleep soon after. It is a cycle that repeats on numerous times during the day and magis who keep these as companions must always have desserts at the ready, otherwise they will find their wolpertinger asleep along other of their kind, piled in a half empty bag of sugar. When awake and not eating, wolpertinger hatchlings will play without a care, using their energy in bursts of speed, toppling each other or if in the mood of a prank, licking the icing of a dazzled magi's cupcake.
Adult Descriptions are the same for all.
Spoiler
Pygmy wolpertingers come in many color variations and they live in large families into the wild. They make their nests high up in the trees, the sight of colorful tiny heads popping out from dozens of branches being quite magnificent. However, they can disappear in a blink of an eye, now up on a branch hiding between leaves, a second later drinking the nectar from a nearby flower low on the ground. When not busy tending to their young, adult pygmy wolpertingers will search for the tastiest of flowers, fruit or desserts. Their high speeds help them not only to cover large areas in search for food but also to stay safe from predators. They are the fastest just after eating as their state of sugar rush makes them unstoppable from stealing candy from unsuspecting people. They do not do it with ill intent and while many would be annoyed for having their dessert stolen just as they were about to take a bite, the cuteness and sweet scents of these creatures will erase all angry thoughts.

Anything breedable and not Insect Stuff is fine, because we got soooo much Insects the last events (i like Insects, but now we got sooooo much Insects) i hope for anything fluffy breedable, but any Birbs are also fine with me, but i'm open for anything else (except Insects, please no no no more Insects for the next time xD), also great to get past Spring(Easter, Ostara) Stuff like the Events before, so we can collect some of the past Bunnys or Duckits etc if i think about Ostara i think about Eggs, Chickens, Ducks, Sheeps and Chocolate, here in germany is Ostara Christmas 2.0. because much People gift expensive Stuff like the Stuff for Christmas away. Its funny to see, we also ever have any Event Chocolate Stuff in den Market this first half year we have Ostara Chocolate Stuff and the other half year we have Christmas Chocolate Stuff in the Markets, so we can eat in the summertime for excample Lebkuchen (Gingerbread), Pfeffernüsse (Pepper Nuts? a kind of Christmas Cookies), Baumstamm (a chocolate bar filled with Nougat and Marzipan), Chocolate Santa Clauses etc its very funny, just need to start any christmas music and eat some christmas sweets in the Summertime XD

crosses the fingers not to get more Insect Event Critters for the next events, i'm the crazy cat lady from the simpsons, i love cats so so so much and ever hope to get any cat like event (or any other kind of cat) critters more, so my big wish would be cat event critters for the Ostara event. or any other way for excample a re-color past doni or just new bunnies :D

I didn't realize there'd be an equinox event - yay! It's always been near and dear to me, since I was an equinoctial baby :t-:3:
