Lagonaga hatchlings are about as different from their adult temperament as it is possible to be. While they love to be carried, and will constantly look beseechingly up at their magi to be picked up, they cannot seem to hold still. They will slither all over their magi as though trying to get comfortable, but they never stop moving. They will twitch their tiny ears, which will tickle people as they brush past. It as though they are full of nervous energy. this constant motion likely helps them survive in the wild, where a small, soft creature would be easy prey.
Spoiler
Lagonaga resting on top of a magi's shoulders, or wrapped around their neck, is a common sight at the Keep. Not only does their warmth and weight provide a sense of closeness, their magic will sooth sore muscles and promote a sense of relaxation. Having a lagonaga companion is like having one's own personal masseuse. They will gladly wrap themselves around the shoulders and necks of magi who are studying long hours hunched over their desks, preventing strain. A lagonaga wrapped around a site of a muscle strain or cramp will help heal it almost immediately. Both magi who commonly have sore muscles after long journeys and magi who spend long hours reading or crouched over experiments find these creatures invaluable.
Tropical Lagonaga
This egg has soft fur and scales.

General:
Nothing exudes contentment more than the gorgeous lagonaga. With shimmering scales that give off warmth and soft, silky fur on their paws and ears, they are as fun to pet as they are to look at. Luckily, they will return any affection they are given, and love to be stroked and brushed, reveling in pampering. While they can move along the ground at a slither, they much prefer to be carried. At only a few feet long, their favorite spot is wrapped around the shoulders and neck of a human companion, dozing while providing warmth and a sense of comfort.
I'm betting some kind of dragon minx
