4 more days and i've only gotten to 14th gen lmao looks like 25th gen is gonna be a wild dream

14th gen is still great! I didn't even bother trying for that goal, as nice as it would be - I'm just now trying to get 25 Buckeyes and Cinnabars as the last ones needed

Man, you guys are beasting this. I just broke 50 points and got my very first tree nymph. I should hit 25 swallowtails and have one shot at a sunset by tomorrow night.

What. I could have sworn I saw the updated rules to the other hatching competition state that purposely using link shorteners for extra clicks was not allowed.

I checked the FAQ a couple days ago because I was worried about not remembering it correctly--you're allowed to use up to three links to the same creature, so the magistream link and two link shorteners.

Holy canoli, this makes hatching things so much easier. Wish I'd realized that was legal from the beginning

Also, 25th gen is shaping up to be hecking impossible. Assuming all goes well in my cinnabar incest pit I'll be lucky to reach gen 10. I'm doing some Ulysses breeding on the side with the goal of getting to higher gens and it's not happening. The fail rate is like, 50% ish and given that the cooldown is 3 days, every attempt to climb generations stalls pretty much instantly.

I hit 25 cinnabar but i'm on 21 buckeye and 19 monarch

The cinnabarxcinnabar pairings have been doing suspiciously well... I'm up to gen 11 with them... we'll see how long this lasts

i honestly gave up on that especially because the prize isn't a parentless hybrid lol

i'd be so so impressed if someone did get a 25th gen

hnnnnnggg I was wondering what the percentage for getting a buckeye was, because at the distribution I'd gotten it was possible for it to be 50% and I was lucky, ~60%, or 75% and I'd gotten unlucky

and then I just had 4 breedings fail in a row so uhhhh....pretty safe to say at this point it's 50%

Also, at this point I've gone through all the stages of grief when it comes to my chances of winning this contest. Just hoping now that RNGsus doesn't fuck me too hard and I manage to get to 25 buckeyes and cinnabars in the next 3 days. It's not looking good for either, really, which is too bad because I actually like the cinnabar sprite the most. Alas.

Maybe the admins can use this as an example for the next team hatching competition and make sure the top people aren't all in one team

I've got ONE Cinnamon, only ONE.
I'm getting lots of breeding fails, getting three eggs from 14 breedings seems to be the norm in my keep. Ugh.

EDIT: The lower gens are breeding for me, almost without fail. Got four more Birdwing eggs and one Ulysses.
Okay, better go breeding for numbers then.
