By adulthood, a vojkabayo is fully capable of protecting itself, with its powerful front hooves, large teeth, and the ability to bend the water around it to its will. This protection extends to the members of its small herd, as well as the magi it's bonded to. As they were originally bred and used for war, adult vojkabayo can struggle to use their magic in small ways; it's much easier for them to create a tsunami than to create a gentle wave. However, they make excellent companions for those magi who explore the deeper waters of the world
