#1107: Desert Courshound
This egg is covered in pale grey fur.
Spoiler
Like their kenhound cousins, desert courshound hatchlings are energetic creatures who love to play. Early games of hide-and-seek with their owners help them perfect their memory for locations and paths, and time spent chasing balls and toys will help them work up their speed. Even as hatchlings, they are more independent than their kenhound or silkhound cousins, and will soon be eager to run on long journeys.
Spoiler
Courshounds are incredibly valuable messengers, and while independent and able to care for themselves on long journeys, they are also loving and loyal. When they return from a journey, they greet their magi with gentle licks. When not running, they want nothing more than to curl up in a cool spot on the floor and rest with their magi nearby. Some courshounds also form bonds with multiple people in distant locations, especially those who routinely send messages to each other. Even if there are no messages to send, a courshound who has bonded with multiple people will race across the land to spend as much time with everyone as possible.
Spoiler
Bred for agility from the fastest members of the related zaya kenhound, these creatures are known for two things: Their loyalty and their blistering speed. They are the most trusted messengers of the Etain desert, able to cross miles of blistering hot sands in less than a day. They are keenly intelligent, and will faithfully deliver their message without fail. They have exquisite memory, and it is thought they will never forget a path they have run. Seeing these creatures zipping across the desert is a common sight for travelers in Etain. Their only limitation is their strength--messages are easy to carry, but heavier packages, if they can even carry them in the first place, will drastically slow them down.

#1108: Silkhound
This egg is covered in fancy fur.
Spoiler
Silkhound hatchlings love to flounce, practicing the dainty steps that will win them prizes in shows and win the admiration of their magi. Sometimes they will attempt to copy winged cats or other felines, trying to look graceful. They're not always successful, however, and many a silkhound hatchling has tripped or mussed their fur while trying to look fancy. They are also masters of looking highly offended if their magi laughs at them. All is quickly forgiven, however, and more than anything, silkhounds love to be petted by the people they care for.
Spoiler
Most silkhounds are kept as lapdogs, bred and trained for beauty. They even seem to know it, carrying themselves with careful aloofness whether at home with their magi or at a show meant to flaunt them. Their silky fur is soft to the touch and even their feet are soft. However, if the need arises, they can run even faster than their kenhound or courshound cousins, the soft fur on their feet padding their steps and helping them achieve greater speeds. They don't have the same love of speed, though, instead preferring to live an opulent life with those who prize their beauty. A silkhound does not deign to lick, but they will happily curl up next to their magi, resting their head in their lap.
Spoiler
Unlike their quicker desert-dwelling cousins, silkhounds are primarily used in special beauty shows, designed to flaunt their beautiful fur. While the fur itself is short along the body, the tufts on the ears and the tail are prized, and the fur itself is exquisitely fine. They are patient and kind creatures, happy to be primped and pampered and their fur brushed out. Their fur itself has value, and when trimmed, can be sold for high prices for use in weaving. Garments made from the fur of a silkhound are incredibly expensive and in high demand.

They are permanent stream creatures and will be able to breed. They will flood the stream up to and including April 26th.
Can't wait to see what these (hopefully) cute doggos look like! c:
Edit: Added for fun, the Zaya Kenhound donation pet egg, alongside these two new eggs.
