Keep Organization

So my Keep is a nightmare to navigate...

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or you could just tell me how you organize yours?
I've looked around but I often feel no one really understands their tabs except them lol xD

Well mine seem like a nightmare.

I placed creatures together in visible biological group. So all phoenixes together, all cats together, blah blah blah. These are mostly named after taxinomy.
Then made a tab for special pets. Artificer for the living but not alive pets, elemental for creatures that seem to just an element instead of flesh and a tab for the undead.
Then ofcourse tabs for my shop.

Some people make biome tabs, like meadow and put in all the creatures who would live there.

I just sort by stream, shop, event, quest...not the most organised, but it does what it says on the tin

I have 3 Main "groups"

"the Keep" 1-6
(each tab has 200* The Koi is creature Number 1 in the beastiary so "The Keep 2" starts with creature number 200 the Amphista, etc)
Which consists of 1 Frozen Egg, M/F Hatchling, and M/F Adult of every creature, Except Doni (I have a seperate tab specifically for them) of course this is a guideline as some like the Creeper, Rabbitsune or Forgotton Unicorn have multiple colored sprites so there may be more than 1 M/F adult or hatchling or even Egg

The I have my "BP" tabs these are my SB Breeding Pairs they are separated by where they come from. "Valentines, Magiversary, Halloween" "Dark shop, Trading post" "Item, Hybrid" "Stream, Quest" Etc

Then I have My "Hoards/Army" Tabs which are pretty self explanatory
My "Event" I used to have in one tab but it became too much so I separated them into years, so even though we got Confara and Sleighbell Pegasus in this years brew they still got sent to the original year they came out in "event hoard 2013(?)" tab

The rest are kinda random selling, gifting, personal lineages, Belmos etc

I've kinda back-and-forth'd on a few different ways of organizing them, but right now, excusing some exceptions like limited event critters, I've got mine sorted by location... Though that doesn't work so well when creatures don't have any reference as to the location or environment they're found in anywhere in their description, or are mentioned as only ever being seen at The Keep -gestures to Main tab- =v=

my main tabs are just the typical stream, event, etc, one difference is that I labeled a few event tabs by seasons instead of the actual event the creatures came from [like how i put harvest festival critters into the autumn tab]

my temporary tabs are my firsts ones [besides the two tabs where i sit my critters to grow], basically just consist of quest/event stuff

secondary tabs are just my extras [as i sort the main critters by m/f pairs], amberspice mouse army, frozen eggs, and more like that.

From what I've gathered... I might organize it by "how you get the creature." It seems the most effective. Currently I just have "My Collection" where I wanted to have m/f of everything except donis but clearly that I'd a nightmare to sort through lol

I have Keep tabs for the stream, hybrid, hybrids from event creatures, quests, each individual shop, item transformations, alternate sprites, event/limited quests, giftborns, and each event holiday.

I also split my Pygmy Gemdragons and Crystalwings into their own tab of Pygmy. And my Stream is split into four tabs otherwise it'd lag really badly.

Otherwise I have a tab for low percents, under 1 percents, other hatchies over a low percent, stuff I'm selling, and frozen eggs. Eggs go in my main tab, hatchlings I'm growing to adult go next to it.

My favourite Donis go in a special tab.

I organize mine around what I collect usually (rabbity, crabs, goats, etc- so all creatures that fall into that category go in there regardless of where it came from) and then beyond that by event (kinda- mostly i just group things by winter/fall/spring holidays which is a little arbitrary as to what counts as winter versus spring), by association (guild pets, donis, etc that don't fall into other categories), or loose type (reptiles & amphibians, dragonish things, felines, arkai, etc). If a tab gets too big, sometimes I'll divide it out further (though usually i got back and combine tabs if they seem unwieldy). It's an ongoing thing

I have a protected tab for hatchlings where i stash either low percentages i don't want to freeze or hatchlings i want to save for gifting and some dedicated tabs for stuff i want to sell eventually (it just helps me stay organized/not have to hunt them down later)

I do mine, nice and simple, A-Z tabs for hatchlings, since I collect those. c: I only keep adults I need for quests or that I intend to breed for more hatchlings. c:
