Wowie, those are quite frightening. Very beautiful sprites, but yeah, too insectoid for me.

I kinda love them, especially their big goofy mouths and little arms/legs they remind me a little of the black beast of arrrghh from monty python's holy grail- just in their positioning (not really that close in terms of look, but i could totally see them hunting tiny knights). Very neat sprites!

Just got two of the 3 shard worms. Until my 2 decessus hatch, I'm egg locked! These guys are either really weird or... really weird. They remind me of the ones in World of Warcraft.
