Here’s the adult descriptions for each one;

An adult Arcadian caprichthys is a surprisingly easy creature to manage, as its nature is to be friendly. The creatures form strong bonds with their owners, preferring the company of others to isolation and quickly growing friendly with anyone who wanders into its territory. The creatures seem to emanate whatever feeling a person cherishes, often happiness, confidence, and curiosity, though they have been known to promote feelings like love in those around them as well. The mermaids who study at the Keep love the Arcadian caprichthys and will spend long hours with them, chatting with each other as they groom and feed them. It is an exceedingly rare honor to be given one of these creatures by the mer-folk, though most Arcadian caprichthys are from older lines that have been with the magi for years. The mermaids claim that these are a less exciting variety, turned docile from their time away from the sea, though they don't seem to mind them and still enjoy visiting them when they visit Lake Lakira. The caprichthys are more than happy for the company.

An adult Hadean caprichthys is a difficult creature to manage, as its nature is to guard the tombs of the dead from any intruder. The creatures form no strong bonds with others, preferring isolation and charging at any who wander too close to their selected territories. Their tendency to guard ancient sea ruins means overzealous undersea explorers may occasionally run into them. Wise adventurers leave the caprichthys alone; they are much more likely to attack with hoof and horn than any sort of magic, but they are the companions of the mermaids and their magic is suspected to be quite powerful. There are many tales of grave robbers trying to loot the temples of Hadean caprichthys, but far fewer who return with their lives, much less any treasure.
