Lost our parakeet overnight. My mom is taking it pretty hard but said she was expecting it. He was such an old boy. We only had him for a year, our friend who we got him from had him for about 4-5 years, and she got him from her own friend who had him for at least several years herself. We guess he was at least 8 or 9, which apparently is pretty old for a parakeet. He had a good run in life. His favorite pastime was trying to make a nest in my mom's hair.

Virus-related stuff in spoiler. Venting a little bit.
Spoiler
"I will go skiing because I said so and as a tax-paying citizen I can and will go. This virus is overblown anyway." said the adult human being that was complaining about teenagers being happy-go-lucky during pandemic times.

Dude. With part of "dont do unnecessary trips in the country" did you not understand? Did a train hit you and make you loose your flipping head? Skiing is not needed to survive, you wont die from missing one skiing trip :srsly:

Thankfully the new little restriction/law was made to prevent this stupidity and selfishness. If they beak it,they will either have to pay a penalty fee or end up in jail.

Enjoy your skiing trip now, suckers >D

Mini vent about how my state's governor is responding to the virus:
Spoiler
Doug Ducey is an absolute moron. He's remained adamant on avoiding a statewide shutdown in the wake of this virus, and most of the people here are in favor of one if it means slowing down infection. Meanwhile, there have been 100+ new cases reported everyday since the beginning of the week and it's only going to get worse. Cases are projected to peak in April with hospitals reaching maximum capacity in May. But no, he wants to keep the state up and running rather than force people to stay home. There are still people going out, shaking hands, ignoring the 6ft distancing rule--basically doing anything that doesn't slow down the spread. It's no wonder why our numbers are skyrocketing. :srsly: My mom (who by the way, is considered and "essential worker" and can't work from home, despite the fact that she has worked from home before and the people who work in the floor below hers get to work from home D< ) bets that he'll give in by next week and shut the state down.

Someone, please remove this man's head from his ass.
Anyway, I can't wait for the 7th to come. I got an appointment for an endocrinologist (yes, another one and again) after my MRI came back with suspicious growths on my pituitary and pineal glands. I am praying that this is a good doctor. IDK what it is with endos, but they seem to be really hit or miss where I live.

Oh hey same state club. :t-bipolar:

Since I have no insurance my psychiatrist was nice enough to give me cheaper ADD medications and so far Im loving it. I was actually able to focus on my research paper for Human Sexuality class yesterday. 7 hours. SEVEN. With a lot of breaks. But still. SEVEN hours on one paper. So today I was able to finish Module One, finished editing my paper and turned it in and finished four video quizes. Took me 3 days to finish. The second module I'm going to get done this weekend. Get everything done before its really due on April 4th. Being autistic with other mental issues, this is a huge accomplishment for me.

Found my fitbit after years without it, and I'm getting it charged. I feel like such a lump any more. I hate that I gained so much weight last year. I don't ever think I'll be at the weight I was, not with my poor self-control :/

I get you. I lost a bunch of weight and kept it off for almost three years, and then after my mom's passing, I've just let myself go without even thinking. And now I'm trying to control myself more but with having to be shutin the house this much, I'm not walking as much as compared to when I go outside. I've really stayed inside for two weeks without going out once and it's getting to me.

Might go out and buy some stuff for the kitties that I need (flea meds) and food for them and then maybe some food and essentials if I can find them. Or I might wait till Tuesday or something.

This is the short workout video my pole studio has posted, it's not too long so you don't have to commit very long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es2W814 ... pp=desktop

I've been doing it once or twice a day :) (It's still going to hurt something awful when I can finally go back and get on the pole, though. My skin will not be used to it anymore)
