Today I had to put down my senior Siamese cat Neeko of 16.5 years. He was my baby and I knew it had to happen someday but I was hoping he could be with me for just a little longer, but I had to let him go.

I am sure he had the best cat live ever while he was on your side, i am sorry for your loss

Welp, my husband tested positive for COVID today. I still feel/tested fine so I am bustling around and preparing the house for his quarantine (and my eventual sickness, most likely).

oh no! i hope your husband is doing okay and only catched the "light" variant and gets well soon.

I hope you dont catch it too!
Lets hope your immune-system will fight it off if that nasty virus tries to approach you.

I think I have another kidney stone. I'm just going to do what I did last time this happened. It hurt a
lot last night, but I think it's a smaller stone. Unless I get super sick or the pain gets to be too much, I don't plan on going to the ER. They were only able to do so much last time.

Got 5 of the new psittarx dragons, figured I’d get a pretty even batch of m/f. Hatched out 5 females. Nbd, I grabbed 4 more hoping for males… all 4 hatched out female. I’m just a casual, when-the-mood-strikes kind of player these days, so that’s all I got of the newbies. 9 girls.

Got 5 of the new psittarx dragons, figured I’d get a pretty even batch of m/f. Hatched out 5 females. Nbd, I grabbed 4 more hoping for males… all 4 hatched out female. I’m just a casual, when-the-mood-strikes kind of player these days, so that’s all I got of the newbies. 9 girls.

I'm at 11/16 males right now At least I got 5/5 for my collection, but I had hoped for a more even group as well. Breeding is going to be difficult with this.

Joining the club...hatched 25 total, got 17 females and 8 males.

Three weeks cooped up in the hospital now. I'm starting to feel worse than a prisoner. At least they get yard time. I miss the fresh air and the feel of the sun on my skin.

At this point they're only holding me because my insurance is being stupid with approving my aftercare meds. Otherwise I'm stable. Just need to remain on antibiotics for several more weeks.

oh god, that sounds terrible, i hope your insurance soon approves the aftercare meds and you can get out and smell the fresh air (and that the antibiotics work fast and you get well soon)

The hospital should have an area where you can go outside for a bit during the day. I hope the insurance gets the aftercare meds approved quickly, but until then, ask a nurse about smokeless smoke breaks.

They will not go quietly,
the {pets} that shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still make us think
we hear a barking at the door.
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them...
and always will,
For their spirit still survives.
