Got my Sinopharm 2nd dose today. I wish they gave vaccines for below 30. I want my son to get vaccinated, but here, only above 30 year olds get it

....
Well, this was entertaining.
I was looking at some light for my camera, and the section for camera-related stuff on the website had a rifle scope among the flashlight and other camera-related items.
I know some people say "shooting pictures/photos" but...that is taking shooting photos a little far
The wait would this make my accuracy of shooting pics of fast-flying birds better?

Bleh... This has been the worst year for allergies that I have ever experienced in the 26 years that I've lived here. I've have had a horrible, nagging cough (I have to keep assuring strangers that it isn't covid and that I'm vaccinated) since April, and only yesterday did I start coughing some of the crap in my chest out. Allergy medicine has only helped here and there, and cough drops only last for so long while also tasting putrid. Then there was the thick blanket of smoke form the telegraph fire that loomed over the valley for like 4 days, which aggravated my allergies tenfold. I can't see myself living in this state (or at least in Phoenix) for much longer. If I stay, I'm sure my respiratory health will worsen. Which is really ironic because people with conditions like TB and COPD used to come to here for their health. Now the pollution and ozone are both terrible in their own right.

Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
I think it's fair to say I'm going through a mild bout of depression right now. Things/people that used to bring me joy are just meh now and I've been disengaging from them. I kind of want to do certain things, but then I think about the things have need to be done first so I can do them (like clearing off the table) and it turns me off. Add in the other household chores that need doing and I turn into a zombie staring into space. I'm tired mentally and it's leading to being tired physically.
It's my birthday today and all the messages on Facebook and via text have just made me feel worse somehow and it doesn't make any sense to me.

Happy birthday When it comes to depression (mild one)) I know how it feels.Been feeling like that for more than a year and a half now. Even then... remember that you have a lot to bring to this world even if the depression says otherwise. Fuck depression to hell. It is a really nasty thing.pegasi1978 wrote: I think it's fair to say I'm going through a mild bout of depression right now. I know what you mean. You want to do something for yourself but you need to get chores done or they won't get done by anyone else. Then you feel overwhelmed and tired. Sounds like you need a break.

* dead pan face as KESQ's new ad for their weather alert app.
Desert Oracle is actually a great show. Ken covers the entire Mojave- it's history and legends. Just that the latest show is him going "damn" for 20 minutes.
Spoiler
Look at you f*^!s actually telling people the number one problem in the valley is RAIN. It's rained once in two years and you're posing with umbrellas and have a graph up about annual rainfall (bonus points; I paused the tv and they actually printed all of the 00.00 inches) meanwhile the desert's 118-120oF temps has already hospitalized 6 hikers and killed 3.

Re: How Was Your Day Thread V5
I went swimming today. c: The water was 92 degrees, so it wasn't like you could really cool off. I did manage to exercise my legs quite a bit--probably the best exercise I've had since last summer. The water is much easier on my poor, weak joints than other exercise methods. I was really surprised though by how heavy my wet clothes were (I wore long shorts and a shirt to protect myself from the sun). My muscles nearly strained/gave in under the sheer weight when I stood up out of the water. I'll probably wear something lighter next time lol.
