The buttons may not be showing because they are turned off in your preferences.. which I think is the default setting. To turn them on...

1. go to user control panel
2. go to profile.. edit profile
3. scroll down until you see the following statement

Show Social Networking Buttons:
Whether or not you want to have easy access to social networking sites from various pages on the site

4. check the box to enable it
5. click the Submit button to save the change

The buttons should show on the creature page after that

Same. The event should be extended due to lag. Instead of it ending tomorrow, extend it to the 11th.

I mean, at this point, the site is unusable. I struggled to click on my own eggs this morning, let alone anyone else's. I've also started to get timeout errors mixed in with the 502s. Of which I literally just got 13 in a row trying to open this thread.

Edit: and now five minutes later we're back to at least semi-functional. One thing I've noticed--when the server load says 32+ on the front page is when it gets very bad. Now it's 5, and it's almost normal.

Yes, the quest is only for the event.

Kinda wished the site wasn’t lagging so bad for me because I really like the way the turkeys look this year and I don’t really have the time to wait for it to load otherwise I’d have a lot more than I do xD

The guidelines only say "roughly" so you're probably fine!

Well...the Lag for this event was horrible, 2 days were unplayable for me (and that i needed to go to work did not help either)... so 3 hatchlings for 1 egg was hard to master, since i only wanted to post mine when i would be able to click too....well i am not even sure if i would have been able to post anything on these 2 days...every click was error 505 (or was it 502?), still i reached my goal and got at least 2 of the new amagnaes ( currently 4 reapers and 3 etherals), so i am happy

I just hope the next event creatures will drop directly from the stream.

I haven’t experienced any lag this Event, couple errors but that’s not unusual for me. I’m living off grid with a single bar of cell service on a good morning. This is how the site normally operates for me
