I decided to take a peep at my semi-old (created a few years ago when I couldn't remember my og account login) and wow, what a glow up! I was always curious what was going to happen to the site after flash was discontinued. I'm surprised an update like this one wasn't made earlier. I remember going on in 2015 and being shocked by how little had changed since 2004. It was like the space jam website; a complete internet time capsule.

I had my second covid shot last Thursday. I have a collection of autoimmune disorders, so I expected some side effects. I did not expect that. Complete blood pressure crash. I basically had to stay horizontal if I wanted to stay conscious. Symptoms like I'm not even taking half a dozen meds. Aches from years-healed injuries. Thankfully very mild fever though. Tonight was the first night I could even consider getting on the computer for more than 2 minutes. I've yet to be awake for more than five hours at a time. And now I think, if the vaccine did that to me, what would the virus have done?? Hopefully now I will never have to find out.

Oh crap - I haven't had any shots yet but I do also have a number of auto-immune issues and am already borderline dangerously low blood pressure - I hope I don't have that reaction. Sorry you had to go through all that, and yes, reading up on some of the side effects of the virus, its still the better end of the deal. Get better soon.

My wonderful day started with working on upcoming creatures only to have the power go out and me stressing all day at how much I lost. Turns out I am a fanatical ctrl-F basher and didn't loose anything - yay me. So I guess it was a good day.

I just got my first one today. I got the Pfizer. I had read about J&J and didn't want it, even though my parents were urging me to do it just so it could be done. Around here, in Dayton, OH, J&J was what 90% of places were giving to people between ages 20-60 and you couldn't request something else. I finally found a place that does Pfizer.

And what happens? J&J has to be "temporarily" discontinued. Thank goodness I stuck to my guns.

Honestly, it's the newest one and it's efficacy is 66% versus the older ones at 90%? Why would you even want that one? Now it's causing dangerous blood clots. I don't care about "well, that's out of x amount of people who got it." It had to be discontinued and didn't work as well as the others to begin with.

been trying to make a conlang through conversion-key for quite a while. keep thinking, wouldn't it be nice to just not do it that way, so that every time i get one word right it doesn't get swapped all up when i try to fix another containing the same letters... and wouldn't it be nice to do so without adding 1k placement rules to it... gee, i know how to do that - just go through a dictionary and set up strict root words, customize them manually.
yeah, no. i just looked up how many words are in the english language. i mean, i was already planning on cutting out some of the redundant words, but jfc we have over 1m words. even with redundant versions removed that's a headache and a half to sort through, and i don't think i even have a notebook big enough-

in fact, assuming that the average notebook has 33 lines and 100 pages, that's only 3,300 lines to write on per notebook... the problem is no longer that i do not have a notebook big enough. i simply do not have enough notebooks.
i do not even know how many of that +1m words would have to be decided redundant to even be able to fit enough notebooks in my bloody house.
maybe i should give the conversion-key route another go. this does not seem like a good idea.

actually. no. i think i want to try anyway, if only because i am fond of frustrating myself.
i'm going to see if i can find one of those ridiculously wide binders i always wondered at the function of growing up. those ones that look like they could hold 5lbs worth of paper.
then i do not have to worry about how many pages a notebook has. just find some more with holes in them and plop 'em in if needed. then it can function as a bonking weapon too.

Woke up with a migraine today, called out from work. Taking the boys to school was murder because of how bright it was. Came home and slept about four hours. Woke up to it having eased up, but not gone entirely. Got some food, water, and medicine in me. It's mostly gone now, but I can still feel some pain that could return if I'm not careful.

News for me is that our newest pup got neutered early this week, and he is doing so well! He's cuddled up next to me right now.

We just have to get his hookworm infestation under control and he'll have a clean bill of health, I hope.

Long work week including my 2nd vaccination event over the weekend.
