Dragonfly - A Short Poem

Great storm overhead,

toad under a stool,

a dragonfly hides,

beneath the rim of a pool.


The dragonfly wept,

her love caught in rain,

his wings likely ruined,

he must be in pain.


The rain had stopped,

leaving creeks overflowed,

a dragonfly emerges,

from his refuge with toad.
