I'm not adopted, nor anyone in my family that i know of, but it's cool to read about families who take in children to raise as their own. It's just a small bit of faith put back into humanity for those who love children to raise them like their own blood.

I'm not adopted. But I am glad there are good families out there who do adopt and raise kids as if they were their own.

I'm not adopted but in a cool unusual way my half-brother is. I've been with him since he was born. He had one heck of a bio-dad though. When that jerk was out of our lives my Mom found another guy and he not only became the stepfather of my little half-brother, but legally adopted him as well and he makes no distinction between his own kids related to him by blood and his adopted child, or me where he is just my stepdad (I have a different DAd than my half-brother and he's a good dad so an adoption wasn't really needed)

I am also thankful for all those great adopters out there and the foster families that do their jobs right and are kind and good. Despite the horror stories you hear, there are a lot of good ones out there.
From out of the depths of the public domain, comes a man, well-read with a book under his arm at all times

I trade 1 to 1 and will accept any creature I don't have, whether that be gender or species for anything I have in my "for trades" tab.

I could really use some clickities

My beloved fiancée is adopted.
the issue of adoption does not change interpersonal relationships.
good that she has lovely adoptive parents.
Everything ended well.
I prefer not to think what would have happened if she had stayed with the "original" parents.

I am not adopted per se, but I was not raised by my biological father. My mother was seeing two men at once, and after conceiving me with my biological father, she chose to marry the one who raised me because he was financially secure. He only found out a few years before his death; in that time, he treated me even worse than he ordinarily did.

I have never personally met anyone who has had adoptive parents who treated them well. It is nice to know they're out there somewhere, though.

Both my brothers & I are all adopted, none of us are blood related: I'm Norwegian/Dutch; older bro is German/Irish & younger bro is Italian/French. Only my older bro & I have sought contact with birth-family. The state we were born in granted access to OBCs, so we were able to find out some info. My b-father's name wasn't listed but my b-mother's was. I was looking online to find her address to write her, only to find her obit, she had passed away the previous month. I have an older half-sibling, gender unknown, who I'd love to find. My parents were always open about the fact that we were adopted. Unfortunately it provided a reason for harassment from ignorant schoolmates.
