Man pets have been such a big part of my life since i was born
so much I could say.... I grew up with so many chihuahuas... like tens and tens of them. We kept like 25 of them but my parents are kinda disabled and couldn't be persistent enough to stop them from having puppies all the time... so in reality i would say there was maybe just under 100 involved in my life growing up. T_T
Personality I wouldn't chose to get a chihuahua ever again, I would still defend them but yeah idk if i would get a dog again either, atleast anytime soon. If i were to get a dog it would be a more independent dog and one that is not so bark a whole lot, but that might be asking for too much..

I have 3 cats rn and I definitely wouldn't mind getting 1-2 more more! Their names are Loona, Milo and Tia :33
Loona is a bit of a loner and Tia is an older cat so both of them dont like playing around that much, but milo looovess to mess with them bc he wants to play but its a lil sad bc they don't wanna play with his goofy ass T_T it would be nice if I could eventually find a cat that would play with him like how he likes to play.

I also have a ball python named wyrm (or worm, I call him both)! He's so curious all the time and thankfully isn't scared when other ppl are over anymore and he comes out of his hides alot when knew people around, maybe he can smell someone new is around? I heard they do have pretty strong noses, but im not a snake expert so idk! eventually when I move out and have the space I wanna learn to build him a bigger enclosure and make a whole fogging system n stuff, since getting a bigger tank would require commissions in my area, he's not full grown yet and im sure he'll enjoy the extra space either way..

also when I move out wanna look into getting some kinda small gecko family, like mourning geckos (lesbian lizards!!!!!), they dont take up that much space and you could have a whole pack of them in one tank, theyre just lil guys!! also bugs.. theres so much bugs that would be cool to take care of... it'll take alot of time and effort to set up but it'll b so worth it..

I currently have a 10 year old Italian Greyhound, the smallest of the sight hounds. She weighs about 11 lbs & vacillates between being a lap dog & an independent dog. She sleeps with me & in the Winter we keep each other warm (a 1 dog night, so to speak). I have never heard her bark, except for in her dreams. She has other vocalizations including "crying" if I've been gone from our home too long. She's super affectionate!

I had another female iggy (yes, that's where my moniker comes from) before her who lived to be 15 years old but passed away due to lymphoma. A friend of mine, in giving her condolences, told me that her breeder was rehoming 2 of her iggies & asked if I wanted one (you bet!). So that's my present girl, Cat Ballou.

Back in undergrad days I had a sweet all black kitty, named Scamp, who was also a very affectionate girl! There was a good stretch where I didn't have any pets due to landlords/ladies unwilling to allow pets. I bought a condo when I knew I was getting Ginger (the first iggy) because it would allow me to have a dog!

Having an animal companion it such a heartwarming experience, I can't foresee not having one! :t-swoon:

We currently have a female cat named Minou, she'll be turning 15 this summer - I swear time flies. We also have 5 female chickens, with 3 of them being adult and laying eggs, the other 2 are really young and still growing.

Years ago I use to keep all kinds of pets. I've had Ball Pythons, Tarantulas, Rats, Rabbits, a Bearded Dragon, Leopard Geckos, Fish, Hamsters, etc. I myself don't currently own a personal pet, but perhaps in the future I might. :)

Currently, I own a peekapoo named Peek-a-Boo that’s five years old. Me and my husband got her at a flea market right after our wedding for my birthday. She’s a very playful, if mischievous, pup. My kids love her!

I’ve had dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits and a goat that was my best friend. His name was Valiant and he was half Pygmy. Acted like a dog, ate everything in sight and wouldn’t hurt a fly. Probably my family’s most memorable buddy. One day I hope to raise another.

I've had cats my whole life. We were the house where people dropped their cats (our county had no shelter until I was a freshman in college). We raised I don't know how many litters of kittens. My mountain of a father (6'4", size 17 neck, 35 sleeve, size 13 ring, a meatcutter who could heft a side of beef 7 feet into the air to hang on a meat hook) would pick up a little baby kitten in his palm and gently tickle along the side of its face and its folded felt ears with the very tip of one finger. It was the biggest thrill of his life when he was the first person to hear the purr-motor, but he was also the happiest when we found them homes with loving families. He said he knew they would bring smiles every day to the people who got them and that the gift of a kitten was a gift of joy.

Right now I have two, both adopted as adults from the shelter. Chandra is my shiny black drama-queen with ice-green eyes. He screams about everything. He's so afraid of thunderstorms (despite having spent his whole life in the lightning capital of the US) that he dives under my bed and sticks his face into one of my old house slippers until it's over. If there's a hole in the food where he can see the bottom of the bowl he's yowling at me like he hasn't been fed in 3 years and then he sniffs the food and walks away. If he decides he needs a good scritch he grabs one of his stuffed toys in his mouth, trots down the hall yelling around it and drops it at my feet. But he won't sit on my lap, just sits next to me and LEANs or curls up on my feet. His favorite pastime is to look straight at me as he purposely knocks stuff off tables or vanities just to do it. His nickname is Big Galoot.

Gilligan is a blue-cream tabby and quite a bit smaller than Chandra. He's so sweet and quiet and loving. You can almost see him roll his eyes when Chandra starts sounding off about...well, whatever. He likes to get into my lap and curl up in a little cinnamon roll and has to sleep in the bed touching me somehow, even with just one paw in the summer when it's 80 at midnight. He always knows if I'm feeling down or need a snuggle and will just come and volunteer it. His nickname is...wait for it...Little Buddy. :)

I'd do anything for either of them and they know it. But they give that back in spades with companionship and laughter and love. They are the gift of joy, and I can't imagine how people live without pets.
My join date says 2012, when I made an account I promptly forgot about until August 2023, so I'm really *gasp* a newbie. :)
I have no phobias or disliked critters. Feel free to click anything in my keep, except the "Quests" tab. I think you'll find plenty there without those 2 or 3.

Tomorrow is the two week anniversary of adopting my mutt Tanner from the shelter that I drove 2 hours to and 2 hours from, and he's already costed me a full paycheck with trying to figure out his health problems and chronic diarrhea lol
I got him after considering a dog for months, after losing my soul dog in April. Nothing will ever replace her and I'll probably never get another female dog, although I truly love my boy now and the problems he's caused.

I also have two cats, (Prince) Caspian, a long haired white baby, and Waffles Mia, an older long haired dilute tortie who everyone says is gorgeous... and unfortunately she's quite aware of her looks. The two don't quite get along, and have two different sides of the house, but tolerate each other enough to eat together. Mia hates snuggling and argues with me nightly about various things, and I lose every argument. Typical tortie who doesn't listen. Caspian loves snuggling and doesn't make any sounds, although he's admittedly getting chunky lol

and lastly I have 4 little baby rat boys that Caspian loves watching

I have had all sorts of pets all my life, and nowadays find it difficult to live without them. They just bring me so much joy. Currently I have a group of fancy mice, as well as one duprasi. Today I picked up three female mice to add to my group, in total there are eight now. They are really fun to watch! But the short lifespan is definitely a big con with mice. I realized I should get more soon as my five girls had gotten pretty old, and I don't know how long will I still have them for. I have considered switching to a different pet a good few times, but I am glad I have decided not to. <3
