Ronnie was still in the tree a little while later when a packmate of hers and the other lookout came to relieve her of her nightshift lookout duty for a bit after shaking her head at what she heard Juniper say to a squirrel. It was loud enough for her to hear all the way to where she was. She nodded in thanks to him before jumping down from the tree and then heading towards the camp afterward. She'd be back around lunchtime (thinking that could be around the time that the skirmish/drama with the bear can happen) and would relieve the person taking over for her then. She wanted to get something to eat and read a bit in her hut in the meantime before she went back on lookout duty. She went straight to the kill pile, got a few small things out of it while in her cat form, and then started to eat the squirrel and voles she had gotten out of the pile.

Riley sighed and rolled her eyes a bit at how Grove said what he did after he entered the hut, following behind him. He always had to be so darn dramatic about everything. She then had her attention and focus be mainly on the lady that was the lead organizer of their groups (not sure what else to call her; sorry :t-sweat:) when she heard that they were needed on hunting duty.
"Okay. Where do you need us to do it?" she said and asked in reply before looking at the map that the other woman was pointing to afterward.

Regulus chuckled seeing Juniper screaming at the squirrel, the small critter was probably comfortable and feeling secure in it's branch. -Wonder if you'd be able to catch it...- He mused under his breath as he followed the branch to the trunk and all the way to the ground. It was probably too not worht the effort to hunt a single squirrel out of spite, specially if there was food back on the camp. He crouched quickly to pick up the acorn and offered it to Juniper, in case she wanted to retaliate. -Maybe we could bring it back and drop it on the kill pile. It would be good exercise...Although you did mention wanting to cool off.- He took a gulp from his bottle and glanced down the path, a leisure stroll was a good change on his usual routine, no one should be expecting him back yet either way.

Laurent just nodded and offered a half smile as he went past the door. He tried to stay to the side, but took a couple of steps closer to look at the map when he was acknowledged. He looked at the woman and then at Grove, who did not seem happy about the assignment. He was good at tracking, so he could help with the hunt, it was a shift from his usual tasks, but not particularly bothersome. He focused his attention at the map and noticed the place she was pointing to was close to the border. SHe mentioned a group of deer were seen around that area and that she expected they would be close. -It shouldn't be too hard to track if they have moved. With some luck they are used to feeding around there.-

((RL has been nuts over here, I do apologize. Thank you guys for your patience.))

Juniper rubbed the sore spot on her head, "No, forget it. Let's just get back to camp before the beastie chucks any more at us... at me." she squinted up at the tree, moving away and toward town.

Grove watched as the tall woman, Georgina, pointed at the ridgeline on the map.
"There's been a herd of elk spotted using this trail here. We want to take several of them, to stock up on pelts, mostly. The skinning team is busy right now, but if you guys get up there and take a few down, the team will be up there to process them soon." Georgina stood straight, placing her hands on her hips, narrowing her eyes at Grove, "Think you can handle that?"
Grove waved his hand. "Pups could handle it."
Georgina narrowed her eyes even more, "I trust pups more than you."

Just to be clear, time is not a flat circle... That is way too simplistic. It's a little more wibbly-wobbly than that. ~ Chromie

((it's okay Stormy. it happens and you're welcome ^.^. I was a bit late in getting this posted due to mostly being lazy yesterday after both going to church and seeing a movie))

Ronnie finished eating the snack that she had gotten as a small break and then went back over to the tree she had been doing her job in to relieve the pack member that took over for her temporarily, waving him down afterward. Once he came down, she went back up to the branch she had been sitting on after nodding in thanks to him. She then got comfortable and then kept watch while looking out towards the woods. (my posts as Ronnie might get shorter until the whole drama with the bear happens due to her not having much else to do other than just keeping watch)

Riley listened intently to everything Georgina said, nodding in understanding after a few minutes or before exasperatedly rolling her eyes at what Grove said in reply to the older woman's question.
"We can and I'll make sure he helps us. Someone has to make sure he actually does some work around here. Come on Grove do something productive for once in your life rather than be a lazy bum all the time," she said to Georgina before having her attention be on Grove and then poking him in the arm after saying what she did to him.

]Regulus shrugged and took a final glance at the squirrel to make sure it wouldn't keep throwing stuff at them and started walking down the path after Juniper. He tried to push for a faster pace, not quite a jog, but he was used to walking a bit faster. If she was not up for it, then he'd go back to the leisure pace, it wouldn't take that long to reach the camp again.

Laurent -Let's get going then, they'll be easier to follow if the tracks are fresh.- He took one last look at the map until he was satisfied he had an idea of the route they should be taking and offered a quick nod at the older woman before motioning for them to leave the meeting and get going. He did wait for Grove to lead the way out.
