"That's good and, yes. I haven't slept that well in who knows how long," Rafe said in reply to both Roan's statement about sleeping well and his question about if he also slept well before hearing everything else he said and asked. "Thanks for doing that and maybe we can stay here for a week or longer if we're not discovered by humans," he said in reply to the other statement and question that was said and asked to him as he looked at the other.

Roan smiled and nodded. "Hey Roan, how do we.... um..... get snuggled up last night?" he asked with a dark blush spreading across as he turned his face away from the other. He heard what the other said about staying for a week or longer, nodding a little. "We know that never works though, Rafe. It never does," he said, now beginning to cry as he thought how he'd want to be in a place where he could be accepted and not get hunted.

((I think you mean Rafe instead of Roan in the question that you had Roan ask but I knew what you meant so it's fine ))

"Oh when I got out of the shower I saw that you were already asleep on top of the bed and shivering so I picked you up, then set you back down, and cuddled with you a bit in order to keep you warm along with the covers that I had put on top of us afterward," Rafe said in reply to his question before hearing his statement and then seeing and hearing him cry. He hugged him in comfort before saying in reply, "We also never know that it could. They hadn't caught up to us before we got here so for all we know they could still be out looking for us and that might be awhile. This could be our safe haven for a bit before we have to run again which I also hope won't be for a long while."

"Oh okay, that makes sense," Roan responded with a small nodded. "I-i don't want to be captured and then killed or beaten. It'll be awful," he whispered and rested his head against Rafe's shoulder as he continued to cry. "Nowhere is safe anymore, and everyday they find more and more safe houses. If it keeps at it, I won't be able to keep up. You know that, Rafe, and when the times comes, I want you to leave me...... I'll just be holding you back if you try to save me." He let out a choked up sob. He didn't want to think of leaving Rafe, and he was sure that the other would object.

"I am not going to leave you behind and you never hold me back," Rafe said in reply before gently rocking and back and forth in order to help stop Roan's crying. "I don't mind running fast with you on my back if I need to. It's really no big deal." He then kissed him softly on the forehead in a friendly way while still continuing his gentle back and forth motion.

Roan sniffled a bit and nodded. "R-remember that one time when we almost go separated by those dogs? What if we really do get separated. Rafe?" he asked, trying to not think about the negatives, but he couldn't keep them out of his head. He didn't want to lose Rafe. "Then I'll either have to run and die while trying to stay away from the dogs, get captured, or just try to climb up a tree."

"Then I'll find you since I have heightened senses and then you can ride on my back because it's faster and I'm faster than their dogs," Rafe said in reply to Roan's worried and slightly negative question and statements. "There's always a solution so we'll be fine and don't worry although it might be a bit hard not to do that."

"But what if a human or a group of them get to me by then, Rafe?" Roan asked in a soft whisper. "Everything is just so difficult in the world and nothing will be perfect, and we know that." He closed his eyes, heading moving down so it was resting on Rafe's chest. "I just don't think I can stop worrying."

"Then I'll fight them off to get to you after I get there and if they try to capture you since I can heal quickly if they hurt me and if the wound's not inflicted by a silver weapon," Rafe said in reply before kissing Roan on the cheek this time and before the former moved his head to be resting on his chest and not on his shoulder like it had been earlier. "Try to stay positive and stop thinking negative things or we'll probably never be able to get through our ordeal."

Roan nodded and blushed a bit when Rafe kissed his cheek. "Alright, but I'm pretty sure that I can't stay positive for too long. It's almost impossible for someone like me." His wings flapped gently as he tried to take his mind off of the bad. "One question though, Rafe, why do you keep kissing my forehead or cheek?" he asked, opening his eyes to look up at the other. "I don't see many other people going around kissing their friends like that, do you?"
