The Future of MS

Post by Raneth »

To start, the future of MS is bright, so don't worry. That is the primary message here, and if that's all you take away from this and want to keep on just focusing on your collections, that's fine.

However, I'm sure many of you have been concerned for some time about the administrators of the site not being active coupled with the obvious lag and site errors.

Ultimately, and the reason I'm the one posting this, is that Madi has decided to step down as site administrator, and has passed the torch on to me. Thus, I am going to take over the position as site administrator. I am currently taking the required steps to get that set up, and it should be done by the end of the year.

Rosehill will continue to be the primary programmer for the site.

The moderation team will not change.

The artists will not change.

What does this mean for players?

It is possible, though not likely, that the site will undergo maintenance at some point to transfer servers/assets/other information for a short time, especially if changes need to be made to fix the lag.

My first goal is to get the site back to full functionality--this means tracking down the source of the lag and fixing the errors. This may require short maintenance in the future. We have been struggling with figuring out the issue for some time, and I hope with some extra help we can figure it out.

If maintenance needs to happen, we will let you know.

In the longer term, now that we have a more active administrator and once the site is running smoothly, we have many ideas for future events and features planned. We will maintain more activity related to MS across social media, including Facebook, Tiktok, and Twitter (assuming Twitter doesn't implode.) We hope to implement QOL features that will be introduced related to quests and events that take place. And of course, we will continue releasing new creatures for you to collect and enjoy, same as always.

MS is going through some bumps right now, but I and everyone on the team have every intention of maintaining the same site you all love, and ultimately making it even better.

Pretty ponies...
