How long do you have to let a trade sit before you report it to a Mod? I'm not trying to be impatient but I do get a little concerned when trading with certain people. Especially when said trade is tying up a large amount of gold that I need. I've seen a lot of people who sell things mention they'll wait a week or so before canceling a trade and relisting their creatures for sale again; are we even allowed to do that? I'd just like to know what my options would be, should the trade not be answered. :/

If a trade goes unanswered for two days you can contact a moderator. Simply cancelling a trade and relisting creatures again is not allowed.
A sale (i. e. trade for gold or another creature or creatures) of one or more creatures has to be completed within two days after the order is placed or the auction is completed. If after 48 hours, the sale is not completed, either side in the deal is allowed to ask a mod for assistance. For orders on creatures that have yet to be bred and/or hatched, the seller must initiate the trade within 48 hours of hatching them.

What about if the other person just, hasn't logged on? Whether you're waiting for some to pay you for something or waiting for something you paid for, what if the other person straight up has not been online for like, days/weeks?
Do you still contact a mod then, even tho they can't do anything (unless something about mod powers has changed) aside from PMing the other person.

Yes, in such cases contact a mod, as well. A moderator will assist further on how to proceed taking into account the circumstances. ^.^

Huh ok.

Guess I'll remember that for the next time someone just leaves me hanging waiting for trade confirmation for egg sitting payment (I mean hopefully it doesn't happen but, people be people and sometimes they just drop the codes and trade on me and then log off leaving me unable to get my payment).
Cause I had been told, by Morg, that mods can't force trades, so I figured, well it's pointless to get a mod involved since the only options I could see would be forcing the trade to completion (which I've been led to believe they can't do) or PMing them to remind them (useless if they're not online and haven't been for days).

Sorry to bother anyone, but I just wanted to check on the legality of something before I did it...
I've started a "business" (I've been doing this awhile but I finally made a page/logo/business card for it....) where I draw art for people (real life, real money, real business.)
I don't want to overlap onto MagiStream and start crossing real work with MS money and all that. One, because I think that's just messy and two - and most importantly, I know that is against site rules.
However, I would like to just leave a link on my profile to the business Facebook page, just so my MagiStream friends know that I do art for real life purposes if they ever wanted to support me. Would just linking it on my profile like that be against the rules?

Like just going:

I do real-life commissions: Here's a link! <<---

Much appreciated all. Thank you!

hey! i am highly doubting that this is possible in anyway, but way back in like, 2011, a RP thread was locked and then i think deleted because it was locked etc. is there anyway that mods are able to access a deleted thread? I like the nostalgia of that time and at the time I didn't think to save any of it anywhere and it now only exists in my memory. If it was possible to track down the deleted thread, maybe if I could at least be able to save some of it in a way, it would seriously make my year. I'm not asking that it be reopened, unless that is a way of doing it, but rather to be able to view it. If not possible, I totally understand. Anyways, I appreciate everything everyone does for this amazing website, it made my younger self so incredibly happy. thanks!

Pretty sure it is gone for good - most threads (locked or not) auto-delete after 30 days as a rule?

As a newbie here, I will definitely be using the FAQ a lot. ^_^ Thank you for providing such an extensive one.

Edit:
Speaking of...

Can anyone help me with a quest? I was trying to follow the directions for Remy's quest where you have to be drunk, and I can't seem to get part three to show up. How many drinks do I need to drink? I've had 3 or 4 now and nada. Am I doing it wrong?

(I was following the steps on the wiki) -> https://magistream.fandom.com/wiki/Ques ... e_Just_One
