But when I buy a doni, I can buy two additional eggs (5 + 2 = 7). And if I have 5 eggs with doni, then I can’t take more ordinary eggs, says the limit is reached.

Yeah, for number 2 that's how it's supposed to work, you have 5 regular egg slots, with two additional ones if the last two (so eggs 6 and 7) are doni eggs. Even if your first 5 slots are doni eggs, the remaining 2 slots can still only be for donis.

Twice, within a couple of days, I tried to send gold in a trade, but it disappeared when I put in my password. Another mystery - I know I did send the gold, because I checked before I hit submit.

Have the social media buttons completely disappeared for anyone else?

EDIT: Figured it out! It ended up being a setting in AdBlock Plus; it's called block social media buttons tracking, but what it really does is block the icons themselves. If you've come here looking for help with that issue, please check your settings in ABP to see if you've been affected, as well.

and again, i've stopped getting email notifications for threads i'm subscribed too. i got them yesterday though.

it has now been just about a full day since i realised i haven't been getting mail notifications for threads i'm subscribed too. i can find the replies to the threads in my control panel under "manage subscriptions," but that defeats the purpose of subscribing to threads.

last time, my notifs came back after 5 days. last time i noticed it on December 29th and they came back on January 3rd. could this be an end-of-the-month/beginning-of-the-next-month issue?

today is day 5 or 6 of no email notifications. if the pattern holds, i should get notifs sometime during the course of today. i shall post another update then, and go from there.

so today is actually day 8 of no email notifications, with the first day being January 29th.

so i shall continue to be using my control panel's "Manage subscriptions" options, it seems.

should my email notifications deign to return, i'll post again.
