I also have the bug, so thats fun. Can't gift, can't name, can't create lineages.

Other people can gift and name creatures, and I've tested it myself successfully, so it's not a general site problem. So let's try some trouble shooting to find where the error originates from.

I assume you've tried the basic first step of clearing your cache and your cookies. If not, please do that.
For those affected, when did you become unable to name creatures is it a recent problem or has it gone on for longer?
What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?
Did you check if you have Javascript enabled? Any things you have blocked in your browser?
What device are you accessing MS from? What operating system is it running?
Have you tried accessing your account from a different device? Have you tried logging in from a different network (i. e. if you're usually logging in from home, did you try at school or at a friend's house?)

I'm also still having the being unable to gift issue on my home Wi-Fi (as I did back at Halloween).

I didn't realize until today it extended to being unable to name (I tested and couldn't - haven't tried to name something for quite some time) and creating a lineage (haven't tried this one myself yet, but super upset if I can't get this to work).

It's definitely not browser related for me, but network related. I can gift using my phone data/network.

I couldn't gift at Halloween through my Wi-Fi, and I suspect the problems started after the site update.

My hunch is it has something to do with the https (maybe even that parts of the pages are still unsecure, or just the https in general) that some networks are having issues with.

Unfortunately, this makes many things unplayable for me. I'll only be gifting my minimum for the badge because of it, and I won't be naming or creating lineages at all - trying to do any of this on my phone is an insane annoyance, and why should I be wasting my data when I have perfectly good Wi-Fi to use at home that I'm paying through the nose for?

Also, I've had no issues on any other sites https or otherwise.

In other bug news...

The Cookie Jar doesn't stop you from buying more if you're max 255 with all cookies. I wasted some gold before I figured this out. Oops.

EDIT: This morning, I attempted power cycling, as that's supposed to be something that helps if you run into blocked websites that shouldn't be blocked. Sadly, it didn't work. Still can't gift when on my home internet/wi-fi.

Cleared cache and cookies. Cleared cache from all time (ALL TIME, GANDALF). Nothing. Javascript is enabled. Nothing is blocked. I use Chrome, so I tried the big E of Internet Exploder ( ), and got the same thing.
I haven't been able to gift since at least Halloween. I have been unable to name creatures for a little longer than that (I haven't been on MS regularly till early-ish October, so I'm not sure if it was an issue before that or not). Originally, when I tried renaming, a wonky message popped up, and one of the mods was able to fix that pretty quickly to make it say "no creature specified"
I have tried naming/gifting from work. Didn't work. Also have been trying from my phone. Same thing.
I'm going to visit my sister later today, so I will give it a try there, but since it hasn't worked from my work computer or my phone, I highly doubt it'll work from her network either.

EDIT: It worked on my sister's internet! Idk why it won't work on my phone or on the network at work.

Whenever I try to name any of my creatures I get an error message saying "creature not specified". Does anyone else have this problem or it there a way to fix it?

So far, it has worked for me to go to my sister's house and mooch off her internet. It won't work on my phone, my internet, or on the internet where I work.

Okay so I use the "anna" account to hide my gold from myself. Up until yesterday it worked like normal. I would change the value to 0 in the gold I was offering and click "save changes" and then would add back the full amount of gold I wanted to hide (so lets say I had 5k stored I would remove it then redeposit it plus whatever I was adding.) As of yesterday that no longer seems to be working. Now when I change it to 0 and "save changes" and then refresh my money on hand stays the same and the box value stays "0". The ONLY way to get my money to return to me so I can know how much I entirely have to add is to actually cancel the trade and start a new one.

Is there any way to fix this? I mean why would it suddenly stop working right? Would be easier if we could just add to the current gold in the trade without having to remove it or had a bank to store our funds in...

Are you sure the trade page has completely loaded? If it hasn't completely loaded the changes won't keep.
