Hello there!
Should this go in the OFFICIAL SUGGESTIONS Thread? I was not sure, since this isn't exactly a new feature or major thing, just a little problem I encountered and wanted to address. I apologize if I should have used said topic instead.

• ABSTRACT:

Some quests require unfrozen eggs;
especially newer/returning users don't have many breeding-pairs to acquire those eggs fast and experience a long lasting egglock as a result.
My Idea is to make it possible to "hand in" eggs to the quest as soon as one acquires them, essentially removing them from the user-account and maybe displaying them at the corresponding quest-page.

• LONGER VERSION:

It is great that there are so many elaborate quests; for me, it is a major draw to the site and its lore. The difference in difficulty is great as well, some requirements are easy, some - not so much, offering a broad range of challenges/long-term goals (*looking at you, Icist*)

A problem I - as a returning user with not so many creatures/breedingpairs or cool-down potions have encountered is a serious egg-lock while trying to complete certain quests.

Let's take "Matters of the Heart II: Vasial's Crush" as an example.
It requires four specific, unfrozen Capricorn-eggs.
Now, I have some Koi/Ibex pairs (outcome: random) and one Capricorn Pair I can use to try for eggs. But it often fails/produces something I do not need and therefor I was only able to acquire two fitting eggs in the last 1-2 weeks.

Meanwhile other activities on the site are severely limited for me - I can not really raise any creatures/partake in other quests, since my egg-slots are very occupied.

• POSSIBLE SOLUTION.

It would be great if I could "hand in" the eggs I already have. Therefor freeing my eggslots and subverting the risk of the eggs evolving before I can acquire all I need (For new users w/o "protection").
Of course, this action - "hand in egg" - has to be irreversible to dissuade trying to bypass the 5-egg-limit.

Now, I don't know if this has been brought up before or if there are things speaking against it - just thought I'll bring it up for discussion. (:

You can always freeze extraneous eggs and trade them to Master Belmos.

I know, thank you for the suggestion - but for the Quests you need the eggs to be unfrozen & on your account, or am I missing something?

Since nearly two weeks now I have two Capricorn-eggs occupying slots - but I need to acquire two more before I can turn them in.

Maybe you can post in the kancha section asking to borrow the capricorns you need to breed for the quest? And no they can't be frozen, named or part of a lineage.

And I don't think it would be fair to all of us who have already done the quest in the past...back when there was no way to protect live eggs from clicks and we only had 4 egg slots....we all eventually managed to get it done lol.

You are right, I wasn't taking into consideration that it could be seen as unfair by the players who already did the quests in question. Thank you for bringing this up!

I saw it more as an inconvenience, but maybe it is supposed to be part of the difficulty of certain quests?

I misread. I though you were asking how to free up eggslots from leftover breedings, like getting 8 meridian capricorns while trying for a hallow.
