Basically I get this message before I am at my egg limit. For example, right now it is saying that I cannot more than five eggs, when I only have two active eggs. There are no active eggs in any of the tabs in my keep (I have checked and re-checked this). I've noticed that even during events my limit is kept at two or three eggs less than it should be. (Say I have six eggs, it will tell me that I am at the limit despite there being more spaces due to the event. That was how it was during the Holiday event.)
Do I need to contact and admin to get this checked out?

You currently have an unfrozen Snopal egg (born on December 25th 2019) in your "Event creatures" tab and an unfrozen Cardinal Phoenix egg (born on March 14th 2019) in your "For sale frozen eggs" tab.
The easiest way to find if you have unfrozen eggs hiding somewhere is to check the stats page (also linked at the top right corner of your Keep page), and then sort the table by unfrozen eggs.
